What did you say??
I just had to share a little story about Kimmi. We were shopping this past weekend for the regular toiletry kind of things and the store was playing Christmas Carols over the loudspeaker. We get back in the van and are traveling home when all of a sudden Kimmi starts singing at the top of her lungs "There's a season to be Charlie". (Of course song to the tune of "Tis the season to be Jolly") Lexi, Germ and I could not hold back and we were just cracking up. Ugh, she is so cute!! LOL! The funniest part is she tried to convince us that we were wrong, not her! HAHA!!
Things to be thankful for:
With Thanksgiving just a short week away, I wanted to write down some things that I am thankful for. It's so easy to think about all of the things that we don't have or to complain about the things we do, so I'm going to celebrate them all, both the good and the bad.
I am thankful for saggy boobs, I guess I should say mine in particular, they have served me well by nourishing my babies. I am particularly thankful for them this year as I have both of mine and a good friend of mine lost one of hers to cancer.
I am thankful for dirty dishes, it shows that we are eating (a little too well - just ask my scale) when so many in the world are not.
I am thankful for dirty laundry, it shows that we have plenty of clothes to wear (yes, even the light and dark pink loads!!)
I am thankful for bills - gas bills, electric bills, phone bills etc., etc., etc., it shows that we have heat, lights and phone.
I am thankful for my alarm clock, I don't particularly like the fact that it goes off at 5:30 a.m., but it does and it shows that I have a job that supports my family and helps pay those bills.
I am thankful for my van payment, it shows that I have a reliable vehicle that carries my family around safely.
I am thankful for loud screaming, giggly little girls, it shows that they are happy and healthy.
I am thankful for dog hair, lots and lots of dog hair, it shows that we have pets to love and care for.
I am thankful for tripping over my husbands boots each night as I go to bed, it shows that he is home with me and all is right in my little world.
I am thankful I have a mortgage to pay and a house to clean, it shows that I have a place to live and a home for my loud screaming, giggly little girls, dogs with lots and lots of hair and messy husband.
I am thankful that I have a family that loves me and shows up each Thanksgiving so that I can feed and entertain them.
As you can see, I have too much to be thankful for to complain about anything. I feel pretty blessed.
So tell me, what are you thankful for???
Till next time,
Stephanie
