Introduction

Now that I have the privledge on being a Mom, I have been thinking about what holiday traditions I want to continue. I have been thinking lots about what everyone elses own traditions are also. So if you would not mind PLEASE share with me yours.
~Santa~
In your home, does Santa wrap all the gifts, some, or none? What else can you share about things Santa does in your home?
Do you put your shoes by the front door/fireplace on, I think it is December 6th, for St. Nicks Day?
Please just share with me anything you would like about the way you do things in your family regarding Christmas. Thank you!

~Christmas Eve~
Christmas Eve is held at my parents house. It has been for about 15 years now. It started out being the day we would spend with my Dad's side of the family. They are Italian so it would be the non-meat celebration. Lots of pasta and fish to eat. Now alot of my Mom's side comes as well.
We exchange gifts with my parents, brother & sister that night also. We try to do it before everyone else gets there. Well, it looked as if Santa was there as well. The girls, well, actually we all got tons of gifts. My brother, the girls' godfather, got them a tricycle (Disney Princess one) and a huge Radio Flyer wagon. The wagon is pretty neat. It has a hidden cooler in it, that holds 12 cans. My parents bought them some toys and a bunch of clothes. She got them a bunch of matching outfits, which I wanted. I am not sure on the sizes of some if they would be able to weat them at the same time, but they are cute anyhow. And my sister, their godmother, bought Analisa a new dance outfit for class and books and she bought Abriella the Playskool Tummy Time.
It was a fun night. We left there about 1015pm and since Analisa was still up when we got close to our house we went to our 11pm church service. I just love going to church at Christmas time and singing the Christmas songs there. Especially, Silent Night with the candles at the end.
Christmas morning we were all pretty tired. I got up to feed Abriella and to pump and it was 8am when I was done. Analisa abd Scott were still sleeping so I told Scott I would take my shower then, and to just keep Ana in bed until I was out. Well, she ended up not getting up until after 9am. But that was good since was up so late.
~Christmas Day~
She was so funny when she came out to see what Santa brought. Most of the gifts were wrapped but a few were out so she could see them right away. She loves drums, so the first thing she noticed were the little set of electric drums out. She just sat there playing them for a few minutes. It ended up taking her over 2 hours to open all the gifts. She would have to play with each one for a little while first. Santa was good to her. She got the Leapfrog Little Touch pad, a bowling set from Little Tikes, musical instruments, Little People Farm, more Little People to add to her house, books,McDonalds drive thru set, food for her kitchen, diapers for her baby dolls, and some playdoh stuff. I think that was about it. Abriella received the Evenflo Ultrasaucer, the Fisher Price Music & Motion floor mat and some little toys.
We then got ready and went to Scott's parents house, where we were loaded with more gifts. I have to be honest, I was a bit surprised on the clothes they bought me. I actually like most of them. :) The girls got some nice stuff there too. We had a quick dinner there. And then we were off to my Granparents house.
I have spent every Christmas dinner at my Grandparents house. I am glad that Scott's family eats at 3pm and they live only about 15-20 mins from my grandparents. They eat about 4-430 so, we make it there just in time to be able to sit down with my family there also.
We ended up leaving there about 8 or so. I was so tired. I had only slept for about 5 hours the night before. So I was feeling it.
All in all it was a very nice Christmas.

I hope you all had a nice holiday also.
Please stop by my TTM board and tell me about your holiday traditions and how Santa works in your house.

Also ~ What are your New Years plans?
I will be in Lake Geneva, WI Dec. 29 - Jan. 1. So Happy New Year! May 2004 be your best year yet!
