Analisa 26 months
Abriella 6 weeks
I think this has been the longest I have gone without an entry. So that right there lets you know just how busy life has been here.
Here is a little example of how life has been. I am sitting on the couch, pumping both breasts and feeding Abriella at the same time. I turned to see what Analisa was up to and noticed she had a crayon in her hand. The crayons are normally put away up high. I immediately knew something was wrong. I stopped pumping and got up with Abriella. And what do I notice. You guessed it. A crayon drawing all over not only the dining room walls but her bedroom walls also. I was so upset and snapped at her. She knew that she did something bad and had the lower lip down. So we got washcloths wet and cleaned up the walls. I was so worried it was not going to be easy to come off. But with just water it wiped right off. So I had her helping me clean her drawing. So that gives you a little taste of things around here :)
Abriella was baptized this past Sunday. It was a really nice day. After church everyone came back here for a brunch. There were about 16 adults and 4 kids. We served: a ham, egg casserole, homemade coffee cakes, fruit salad, bagels, & punch. It was really good. We also had appetizers and desserts.
So I have been so busy trying to get ready for that, it takes a bit longer to do anything with 2 kids, that I didn’t really start Christmas shopping until yesterday. But my Mom came with the girls and me so it helped me to get a bunch done. The girls are definitely done. I only have a few more gifts to get.
Analisa and I baked cookies last week. It was fun. We only did the butter cookies with the cookie press. Analisa was the cookie decorator. We had sprinkles ALL OVER the kitchen. But we had a fun time doing it.
So now with all of those cookies I baked I will be attending a cookie exchange party on Thursday night. So I can bring home different kinds of cookies!
And on Friday night is our 2nd annual “girlfriends Christmas party”. There is 6 of us girls from high school well, actually Jr. High that still get together every month or 2. Last year we decided to turn our December gathering into a Christmas party. And since none of us are “rich” we thought it would be fun to make a gift for a grab bag. It was a lot of fun. I bought my stuff last night to make my gift. Last year I did a decoupage (sp?) box of pics of us through the years. This year, I had no idea what to do. So I just bought a mini Christmas tree and stuff to decorate it with.
I am still pumping out breast milk for Abriella. I stopped at 6 weeks with Analisa but it seems to be easier this time. I am not sure why since I have 2 kids to care for now. But maybe it is because Ella is not colic like Ana was. Or maybe because I am just more relaxed about things the 2nd time around. But also I figure with all the flu and other stuff that may be going around. I feel good about at least being able to give her something that may be able to help her fight off those kinds of things.
Well, this is sorta jumbled all up, but I wanted to get something posted quickly. I probably won’t post before Christmas so I would like to wish all of you a very
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
