Analisa ~ 2 years old
Abriella ~ 2 weeks old
Life has been busy but never better. We are all adjusting well.
Abriella is getting mostly breast milk. I had problems again and decided that I would pump what I could, like I did with Analisa. It is working well for us. She has been doing well at night. She has been getting up about 2 times to eat. I take the first feeding which is around 2am and Scott gets up around 530am for her 2nd one. Scott is more of the night owl so he stays up later. So I can go to sleep around 10pm while he takes care of her, if she is still up. Even if she isn’t she will stay out here in the family room with him. So I get some peaceful sleep. I have her bassinet set up right next to my side. So I tend to hear her little cries through the night. But I tell you it has been so much different the 2nd time around. With Analisa I was so scared to sleep that she would stop breathing if I took my eyes off of her for too long. I am much more relaxed this time around. But I have to admit that if she sleeps too peaceful for a while I do check for her chest to rise when she breaths.
Analisa has been pretty good. She has her moments when she needs her attention, but that is to be expected. She loves her sister. She always wants to hold, kiss and say “Look at her!” She is a proud big sister.
I have been doing well too. I am feeling back to normal now. The only gripe I have lately is that I am feeling like a single mom. Scott works such awful hours. But I am thankful that he is working!
We have started looking for houses again. We live in a 2 bedroom townhome (1298 square footage) so we are running out of room here. I am always changing my mind on where I want to move. It normally is back to the town I grew up, where my parents still live. But we can not afford much so if we move there, we are looking at an old, small 3 bedroom ranch style home. And my parents are planning on eventually moving west from where they currently are. So now I am thinking that maybe we should looking at new construction. But the closest new construction we could afford is about an hour drive from where my parents & friends currently are. But they are nice big homes that I wouldn’t have to worry about out growing. And hopefully when my parents move it will be towards that direction. Sorry I am writing as I am thinking about this. So I am rambling. Anyways, this has been on my mind lately. I just REALLY want a house with a backyard by summer time. I want the girls to have their own yard to play in.
Well, life has been hectic, so sorry that I couldn’t update sooner. I hope you are all doing well.
Take Care!
