The price for one ticket - $22.00. The price for parking - $12.00. The price on my daughter’s face when she first sees the Wiggles Live – PRICELESS!
Being pregnant has my hormones going crazy. I am so emotional these days. When the Wiggles first came out and I saw the look on Analisa’s face, I had to fight back the tears so hard. The show was great. Analisa had a ball. We got lucky that she fell asleep on our way downtown so she wasn’t crabby for not having a nap. After we sang and danced with the Wiggles we went to Ed Debevics for lunch. For those who don’t know it is a 50’s type of diner. The waiters/waitress are obnoxious (sp?) there. It is a fun place to go. Analisa was dancing on the table. It was a fun Saturday. It nice way to end a long busy week.
We are in a playgroup on Wednesdays. This past week it was our turn to host. We have been in this playgroup since Analisa was 6 months old. Before that all of us were in the Mom’s Group that is held at the local hospital. So it is fun to have watched all of the kids grow up together. They are all within a few months apart. And now, 5 out of the 6 of us that are left in the group are all pregnant. 2 are due in September, me in October, 1 in December and the last one in January. So I hope to continue the group with all of them.
This past Friday I took Analisa and Kate (the little girl I watch) to the zoo. We met my sister and the 2 kids she watched this summer. (Jillian, my sister is going to be a junior in college.) It was a fun day. A day that reinforced to me how I do not want my children watching too much TV and playing video games a lot. The little boy my sister watched is 8 years old. When he first found out we were going to the zoo, he asked how long we would be there for. Then after a while he complained that he was tired. My sister said he is always like that. He never wanted to do anything, but sit at home and watch TV and play video games. The whole reason for Jillian wanting to baby-sit over her summer break is so she could be out and about with the kids, doing different activities. What ever happened to the days where we as kids were outside playing from sun up to sun down?
Back to my emotional roller coaster: Sunday we were at church. We go every other Sunday. I also volunteer in the nursery on those Sundays. And I like to go on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month because that is when they do their baptisms. I just love watching the babies being baptized. Well, this last Sunday there was a mother and her son being baptized. It was a very neat thing to see. How special that is, to be baptized on the same day as your son. He was probably 15 months old. Anyways, this time I could not hold back the tears. I felt so stupid. Not too mention I always tear up when they do the prayers for those who are sick or lost a loved one. It makes you realize just how good you have it.
Well, I am going to make this entry short. Most have mine have been pretty long. I don’t want to bore EVERYONE away!
???s
Are you in a playgroup? Or have you been? How old were your kids at the time?
What do you do to insure that your children are not in front of the TV all the time? How do you encourage them to play outside?
Is there something in your daily/weekly life that just gets you emotional?
Did you find you were a lot more emotional while pregnant?
Thanks for reading! Have a great week!
