Here is a little bit more to catch you up on where we are now.

Analisa

Analisa is doing very well. She is growing so fast. I cannot believe that in a little over 2 months she is going to be 2! That just blows my mind. How did my little girl get so big, so fast? She loves her baby dolls. She has been wrapping them in a blanket and feeding them their bottles. It is so cute to watch.

She is developing, I would say, very well. She has been saying her ABCs since she was 20 months old. At first a lot of the letters were not very clear, but she is getting better everyday. It amazes me at the songs she sings too. And how fast she can pick them up. One of her favorites is Ariel’s Part of This World. Which is so funny because that has always been one of mine too! So needless to say we have a lot of fun singing together. I guess having her in music class since she was 3 months old has really helped. I highly recommend it to others. Her teacher was great and she really enjoyed the classes.
The terrible 2s seems to be hitting already, at times anyway. Her new phrase is “Stop It”! UGH! She likes to tell everyone to stop it. She is also getting more possessive of her toys.

What is it with kids and commercials? I was in a store shopping and pushing Analisa in the cart. I picked up a little bottle of tempra paint and gave it to her to hold on to. As I was walking down the aisles, Analisa is sitting in the cart yelling, “YES! YES! YES!”. I was a bit confused and embarrassed by this. I then put 2 and 2 together, because she was rubbing her head at the same time of screaming YES! And holding on to a bottle that could have resembled a shampoo bottle, I realized it was from the Herbal Essence commercial. It was SO funny but I kept thinking about what others in the store were thinking she may have overheard! So now when you ask her how she shampoos her hair she will demonstrate the rubbing her head and screaming, YES!

The pregnancy

This pregnancy has been flying by. When I was pregnant with Analisa it seemed to drag on forever. But I guess that has a lot to do with the fact that then I didn’t have a toddler to take care of and now I do.

I wasn’t as sick with this pregnancy either. With Ana I was sick from weeks 7-17 about 5 out of 7 days a week. And with this one I was fine 5 out of 7 days a week. And I was done by week 14. So that was good.

I had a miscarriage last summer. I miscarried at 6 weeks. It was an unexpected pregnancy but still very hard to go through. So when I got pregnant this time my doctor saw me once a week for the first trimester starting at week 6. He preformed U/Ss every week then. The first one was fine we saw the little heartbeat beating away. It was a great sight. The next week was not fun. He was taking a long time to get a picture and I was getting really nervous. He finally said he was afraid that I may have miscarried again. He couldn’t find the baby or the heartbeat. He explained that it was a new machine so he sent me to the hospital to get an U/S there the following day. Well, I thought it was hopeless I cried that whole day. I thought for sure I had suffered another miscarriage. The next morning I even started spotting. So I was figuring that this was it. My Mom came with me to the hospital so she could watch Analisa in the waiting room. I went into the office and the tech said ok here is the heartbeat. WHAT! She repeated herself. I was in shock. I then told her that I was waiting for her to confirm a miscarriage and she said no everything looked fine. I was confused at that point. I didn’t know what or who to believe. But after the following week’s appt when the doctor also got the image once again I was very relieved.

Ugh! So I am happy to say that I am now 28 weeks pregnant! I am having my 2nd daughter and couldn’t be happier about that. I can not wait to hold her in my arms and look at her face.

My last appt was my glucose test. Which I am happy to say came back fine. But, just like with Analisa’s pregnancy, my iron is low. So I am taking iron supplements.
Other then that everything has been going great. Knock on Wood!

My Precious Miracle #2

I was able to get an amazing chance to receive a 3D/4D Ultra Sound for free. The little girl I babysit, her mom works at a clinic that does U/Ss. GE was coming in to show them there 2D and 3D machines, so they needed a model (guinea pig). So I was lucky enough to be asked to do this. It turned out to be a long day as the 2D machine was there but we had to wait for the 3D one. But it was well worth it. Even their 2D machine was WAY better then the one at my doctor’s office. It was so clear. And the techs that were in the room all agreed that the baby is in fact a girl! Anyways, the 3D machine finally showed up and I was able to see the most amazing pics of my precious baby girl! It was unbelievable. They had a bit of trouble getting a good shot of her face, due to her constantly having her hands in front of it or turning away. But we got one that is so cute. The only thing is that the umbilical cord is down the side of her check and down the picture. But it is so neat to have this. Some of the pictures are posted on our website – www.joynersrus.com.

Well, I think that is enough for now. Please post on my board. I promise to reply.

Do your kids have a favorite commercial?
Have you ever had a 3D U/S?

Thanks for reading!
