~Are you living for your child/ren?~
I once heard Dr. Phil say to a guest, “You would die for your daughter right?” (I believe he was one of the people on his weight loss team) And the man said, “YES!” Dr. Phil then said to him, because I believe the man’s Dr. had told him he could die if he did not lose weight, “Then how come you won’t live for her”. We often don’t think of it this way. Do we? I need to remember this. I do want to live for my daughters. They need their mama. I was never afraid of dying until I became a mother. Then I realized how important I was. I am the only mother they will ever have. They need me for a long time. So remember this, you are important. Your children need you. We need to take care of ourselves just as we take care of them.
I am trying to remember these things myself. This is my motivation to get moving. I was actually doing really well about getting out and going for walks. That is until is got too hot and sticky out.
~What kind of friend are you?~
I have been really down lately regarding a good friend of mine. Now that I am living with my parents she is only a block away from me. She also has 2 children. So I was thinking about how nice this summer was going to be. We would go for walks, take the kids to the park, the pool and so on. Well, I am the one who always calls to invite them to do something. And well, I am sick of it. I have gone to the pool a couple of times and she is there with her other friends. Now, don’t get me wrong I do not expect to spend every day with her. But it would be nice to have her call and invite me to do something once in a while. ~She actually just called this morning to invite us to the pool. I had to add that since I had written this before she called.
~Abriella~
Ella is crawling. Well, sort of, she does crawl but I wouldn’t call it a normal crawl. She is more into the centipede thing. (or as my brother calls it break dancing.) That is what it looks like. But she does throw the normal crawl in there too along with some other moves. She still prefers to be on her feet though. She is now also pulling herself up. I caught her in her crib, she had pulled herself to her knees and while playing out here she pulls herself right to standing position on this toy we have. I think it was called the Crawl and Cruise by Fisher Price.
She has her 2 bottom teeth now. This means she wants EVERYTHING in her mouth.
~Analisa~
She is starting to tell us stories. It is really cute. She was telling me about how she was walking around the house and then she gave her cookies. They are mostly things that have happened to her. When we go see the new house, there is this little puddle of water in the front of the house. It is always there, because of all of the rain we have been getting. So, she likes to throw rocks into it. Well, this past time she got a little too close and her sandals and feet were stuck in the mud. So I had to pull her out. She likes to tell this story often.
Her dance recital is a week from Sunday. We are now able to get her costume on her. She does not mind it too much now. The flower thing on it is annoying for her though. I can understand that. It is sort of weird. There is a picture of her in it on her website.
We are officially potty trained/ing. We have no more diapers or pull-ups for her. She is in underpants during the day and those Gerber training pants at night, the ones with the vinyl covering. She is doing pretty well. I just have to put her on the toilet often otherwise she has an accident. She has not told me yet that she has to go. So my question for those of you, who have gone through it, is when do they learn to tell you they have to go? She will go at least a little every time you put her on the toilet though.
~New House~
Our house is totally framed. We went to our pre-drywall walk-thru today. I am so excited about this house. I hope it all goes smoothly. I don’t think I will be able to relax until we have all papers signed and the keys in our hands. UGH! That day will be so nice. There is a picture of the framed house on Ana’s website.
~TV~
I just noticed something interesting. I was looking on the CBS website and saw that Amazing Race starts next month. Well, for those of you reality show junkies, Alison from Big Brother 4 will be on this season’s Amazing Race with her boyfriend Donnie. I thought that was pretty interesting.
As always, I feel like there was more I wanted to write about. But for now, this will do.
Oh, for Father’s Day the girls and I had pictures taken. Scott wanted a picture for his fireman helmet. So you can see those pics on the girls’ websites. The links are on my TTM board.
Thanks for reading!
