Analisa ~ 31 months old in just 2 days
Abriella ~ 6 months 9 days
(Scott & I met in person 5 years ago today)
~Abriella~
My little girl is now playing “So Big”. It is so cute. She started this, just days before she turned 6 months old.
She continues to sit alone very well, although I do not leave her sitting alone without someone by her or the bobby pillow surrounding her. But she does very well.
The bottle feeding had not been too bad. I think combining the 2 middle bottles has helped a lot.
She is adjusting well to the move. I was a bit worried because her and Ana are sharing a semi room next to Scott’s and mine. I say semi room because it is not closed off. It is to the side of the stairs coming down to the basement, just before our room. It is just big enough to fit their 2 beds. So as I was saying I was worried because it is not closed off so she has to fall asleep in a not so quiet environment. But she is doing very well.
She went for her 6 month check up May 4th. She is 17lbs 8oz (75-90%). And a little over 27” (95%). She got the DTAP shot. They have a shortage of the Prevnar. But since she already received 2 of them they are not worried about it. She did great. But we did find out that she has a bad ear infection in her left ear. I didn’t even suspect one. The only thing that was out of the ordinary was her waking at night and I just assumed it was because she was teething. But she is doing well now. She has been on antibiotics for a week now. She is still waking at night though. She sometimes ends up in bed with us. It is so cute to see her bop her little head up in bed to look for me. Ugh! She is too cute. I will bring her to the doc in about 2 weeks to have them check her ear again to make sure it is all cleared up.
~Analisa~
Analisa is adjusting very well to the move. She is loving having Oma & Papa in the same house with her. And I have to say Mom & Dad seem to be enjoying it also. Thus far anyway.
She made a new friend. There is a 5 year old little girl who lives directly behind my parents’ house. She has played with her a couple times. And there is also my best friend who lives just a block away from here. She has 4 year old, Vinnie and 22 month old, Veda. So she is enjoying her playmates here.
It has been very nice for her to have a yard to play in and lots of parks within walking distance.
The best part has been her not wanting nor asking for a movie all the time.
~Moving~
Well, we are now all moved into my parents’ house. It is not too bad here. We took over their finished basement. We have the one and a half bedrooms I have mentioned above. Scott & I are actually in one of my old bedrooms. It is the room I had from the summer before senior year of high school to just before I moved out. So it is pretty funny that I am back in there. There is just enough room for our king size bed, my glider, that is squeezed in there, and the dressed we had in the girls’ room. Then we have our own bathroom down here. No tub but a big shower. And the great room is huge. We have a couch and a tv in the first part, a whole lot of toys just past that and the computer to the side of that. So it is not ideal but for now it is just fine.
Everything is cleared out of our old house. Well, I guess it is not old yet. The guy who is buying it is still waiting for his mortgage company’s underwriter. I guess there is just one in the whole company so it is holding up the closing. We signed all of our papers so it is just up to him now. I am told there are no problems with it just that they have to wait. So I hope that is the case.
~American Idol~
I am rooting for Diana. How about you?
~The Bachelor~
I missed last week’s episode due to me having a migraine. But I was happy to see he got rid of Trish. But now I am seeing these previews for tomorrow’s episode and she is back? Get lost Trish, you are a TRAMP! I can not wait to see what happends.
~Mother’s Day~
What was your favorite gift? We are saving pretty much everything we make this summer. But I did need a couple things since I lost weight and do not have much that fits. So I picked out a pair of capris, a pair of shorts and I will eventually get a swim suit. I picked it all out at good ole Target. So I did not spend too much.
We got my Mom the bracelet I told you about and then a t-shirt. The t-shirt says “This Grandma belongs to Analisa and Abriella” with cute little figurines of the girls.
We tried to go for a bike ride that morning but Ella was not happy being in the trailer with the helmet on. So Scott took Analisa and I walked with Ella. We just went to the park. We came back to get ready for brunch at the country club. My mom had to work that morning so we met her there once she was done. My grandparents were also there along with other family members. It was nice but I think for next year I would rather do something fun like go to the zoo or relax in my own backyard and have Scott BBQ. I do not think having to be somewhere at a certain time and trying to get myself and the girls ready not to mention a diaper bag packed is my idea of a relaxing mother’s day.
I hope all of you moms out there had a great one.
Are any of you out there suffering from sinuses? I had a horrible day yesterday. We went on a long walk and on the way back I felt it starting. I was lucky that my Mom had off of work and offered to take care of the girls so I could lie down. I woke up a couple hours later and thought I was ok. But when I stood up it started to get bad again. It lasted until 8pm. I was so miserable.
I have suffered from what I think are migraines since at least jr high. I am wondering if a lot of those are caused by sinuses.
I am hoping someone could share their experiences with me. I would love to get to the bottom of this. I do not have the luxury of my Mom all the time.
Well, I think this is it for now.
Thanks!
Raelyn (lucky Mama to Analisa and Abriella)
