Analisa ~ 27 months
Abriella ~ 10 weeks

~Analisa~
My typical 2 year old!
We have had such a hard time when it comes to bedtime. We, as parents, have not been too good about keeping a schedule. So we know that we have to change that. It is also because she is not always good about taking naps. So that obviously changes the bedtime.
She is getting worse about sharing her toys and others’ toys. But that is to be expected.
My actress! We have noticed lately that the things Ana says, she gets from the movies she watches. You would think it was ok since she basically only watches Disney movies. But that is not always the case. We need to be careful of Lilo & Stitch. Because if you know Lilo she can be a bit of a brat! Some of the things Analisa has said is…”Don’t leave me, OK?”, which I believe Lilo says. At first I didn’t know where she got it from, but it just about broke my heart the way she said it. She also told my Mom, while she was changing her diaper, “It’s not fair!” I am thinking that this is also from Lilo. Then today Scott saw her reaching over her table towards Kate and reaching out her hand, and she said “Do you trust me?” Aladdin says this. It is pretty funny to hear her repeating lines from movies, but scary too. Oh and while we were at my parents house, Friends was on (a rerun) and I am sure you know Janice on there. Well, Janice said one of her “OH MY GOD”s and low and behold Analisa repeated her. It was pretty funny, I must admit. But then I was picturing her in the church nursery saying it!

~Abriella~
I first want to mention since, Kathy from MT reminded me, that I am not sure if I explained how Abriella is pronounced. So just an FYI – it is like Gabriella without the “G”.
Abriella had her 2 month appt this past Monday. She is still in the 90th% for both height and weight. She weighs 13lbs 3oz and is 24”. So she is growing pretty well. So that all went well. The doc said she was very strong and looked really good. Then came the time Mommy hates. 4 Shots!!! She did well, not great but she was ok. The nurse did have to blow in her face to make her catch her breath. UGH! I just hate watching them go through that. I am making Scott take her to her 4 month. It’s only fair, right?
Abriella has been smiling so much and BOY, does she like to talk. I love it too! She just loves to talk with us. It is so sweet. She even laughed. It was so cute, she was in her ultrasaucer and Ana & I were playing with her. And Analisa had her laughing. Oh, the joyous sound of our childrens’ laughter. Don’t you just love it?

~Raelyn~
Well, I decided that 2004 is the year for me to get healthy (lose weight). And Scott is right there with me, which is nice. We both joined Weight Watchers 1/4/04. The first week I lost 8.6lbs and he lost 5.6lbs. Yeah! I beat him – ha ha. Now watch since I said that he will lose more then me this week. Actually, I think he will. I have been following it but I do not feel as good about it this week. We shall see. We both know that these 2 special girls really need their mommy and daddy. So we need to get healthy for them. I don’t want my girls to be ashamed of having a mom that is overweight. And I don’t want to not be able to run around with them or ride bikes with them. So it is time!
This past week I have been in such a need for a little me time. I will be able to enjoy that this next week. On Sunday I am going to see Mona Lisa Smiles and to dinner with my mom, sister, aunt & cousin. So that will be fun. Let’s see if I can actually leave both girls home with Scott. I think I will be ok because I really want Scott to see what it is like to be home taking care of 2. I was so upset with him the other day. I wanted to just run to 2 stores by myself. Well, he said that we will all go because he wanted to spend time with me too! So we all went out. He had to run to one place and it was close to the store I wanted to run into. So I had him drop me off so I could run in there, while he went to his place. Well, he was mad that I wasn’t taking the girls with me. Then he said can you at least take Ella, it will be so hard to take 2 of them in there when I just have to run in quickly. HELLO, what do you think I do? So he did it! He later realized that he should have just stayed at home with them and let me run out. It would have been much easier and quicker. As we all know.
Scott and I did go out last Sunday just the 2 of us. My parents watched the girls and we went to see Big Fish and to Maggiano’s (an Italian restaurant) for dinner. It was really good. We weighed in that morning so decided to celebrate a little that night. But we still didn’t go overboard. Not mush anyway. The movie was better then I thought. It was a compromise movie. There were others I would have rather seen and others he would have. So we settled on that.

~I met Kathy, from MT~
Kathy, Seth & Taryn’s mom, drove the 2 hour drive to my house to visit with us for a few ours. I pictured her to be real sweet and nice and that is exactly as she is. And her kids are just as cute if not cuter then their pictures. And they were so good. Unlike Ana, she was not too good at sharing some of her toys. Then right as they were leaving she had her hands around his neck! Where did she see that one from? Is that from a Disney movie also? She was being so sweet the minute before that with putting her arms around him and not wanting him to go and then this! UGH! I was not happy. But in all, it went very well. I was running so late this morning. I did nothing ahead of time. Normally, I like to have everything cooked and set out and then cleaned up before people get here. But that was not at all the case today. So I felt bad that as soon as Kathy and the kids got here I was all over the place. Not a very good hostess. But after we ate I didn’t worry about the messy kitchen which I have to admit is hard for me. But that could wait. Kathy was the first diary writer that I got to meet face to face. It was a lot of fun. It was sort of weird to see them at my house. I mean you read all about people and see lots of pictures for a while and then they are in your house. –lol- It’s like, WOW they are real people! –lol-
I hope to meet more diary writers. It was really nice.

I think this is about it for now. I always feel as though there was something else I wanted to write about. But I have to little girls who need me. And I really want to get this posted.

Please stop by and say hi!

Take Care,
Raelyn
