I CALLED IT!
*************************************
I am 100% against all of these stupid reality TV shows. Ok, well maybe 99%. I have never been a survivor fan and that Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire show made me furious! But today as I sit at work typing this I can’t seem to get the image of Aaron down on one knee out of my mind! For the record I would like to point out that I picked Helene the very first day…as I wined at Mike to change the channel, but that is beside the point! I am embarrassed to say that I was an avid watcher and maybe, just maybe had a tear in my eye when he proposed! And now I feel like I need more! Now what? Are we just supposed to move on with our lives and forget about Aaron and Helene?

THE WEDDING

**************************************
I received the most wonderful yet frightening phone call last week from my very best friend in the whole world! She is getting married! I haven’t spoke about Liz in my past entries, so I think it is about time. Liz and I went to high school together in Spokane. We hung out with all of the same people but were never really that close. After I moved away we kept in touch and have developed the most wonderful friendship over the past 7 or 8 years. Liz has been my pillar of strength through most of the hardest times in my life. She was the first person I called when I became engaged, she stood beside me the day that I married Mike, she was there during my entire labor with Maxwell and she offered endless support after Clayton died. She always seems to know exactly what to say, when I need her and when I need some time alone. She is the most wonderful woman I know and I couldn’t be happier for her. So why was this phone call so frightening? Well on top of all of these fabulous qualities that she possess, she is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! I am so afraid that she is going to pick form-fitting dresses that will let everyone there know that I am a mother of two! I know how selfish it is to be thinking like this, but I can’t help it! Plus what if we actually DO get pregnant! Oh my gosh! There are so many things to plan for! So I am on a diet yet all the while trying to get fat and pregnant. Does that make any sense? Oh well. I am so happy for you Liz. You deserve all of the happiness in the world and more!

THE REST IN A NUT SHELL
***************************************
Maxwell – He is wonderful. He has really been testing the waters this week. I absolutely hate it when kids say shut-up. He has somehow picked this word up and it is making me crazy mad! He has had numerous time-outs for saying it, so now he will almost whisper it and look up at me. I ask him what he said and he says “what’s up!” He is a smart little dude I tell ya! He already knows how to work his mommy!

New Car – Well we sold our 4-Runner that we had bought at an auction and made some pretty good money. So last night we bought a Ford Taurus. I really love it but PLEASE don’t spread the word! The seats are comfy and there is lots of room! Oh my gosh! I am turning into my mother!

House – Still for sale. Enough said.

Mike – He has been fine but I swear he works for the most ridiculous company in history! It is a slow time here for most of the trades, but his company in particular is awful! They have WAY overpriced their services and so they aren’t getting any jobs. It just better pick up soon or that mortgage payment may just not get paid!!

Promotion – I received a promotion at work this week. I guess it is good and bad. More money, more responsibilities, more headaches. We’ll see how that works out!

Well that pretty much covers it this week! So glad to see that Jeanette has moved in! You are a welcome addition to Mom’s Today! Good Luck to Lisa O. and Lori this week! And congratulations to Aimee!

Talk to you all soon!
Love Nicole

P.S. As soon as remember to bring the “Nut’s and Bolt’s” recipe to work I will post in on my board! Happy Christmas Shopping Everyone!
