The story of our surprise little “girl” with the extra “bits and pieces” will be continued next week! I wanted to take this opportunity to post about my doctor appointment this morning.
When I woke up this morning I was prepared for the worst. I had convinced myself that I would hear that Maxwell would be the last child that I ever got to tuck in at night. The appointment wasn’t as bad as I had thought. The tests weren’t too invasive, but the waiting was HORRIBLE! I decided to stay at the hospital and await the results. Finally, after two hours of waiting, I got called into a small room to wait for the doctor. I felt like I would go crazy! What I wouldn’t give to be on “doctor time”!
Just as the doctor opened the door to the room, and new chapter of our lives began. What would this new chapter be called? A Fresh Start.
The news was the best I had heard in a long time. My liver function was normal. Not just improved but normal. So what did this mean? I asked the same thing. This means that all the time frames that we have been living under for the past year and half are gone. I don’t need any treatments, or more testing. Mike and I actually get to decide when we would like to have a baby. Not the doctor, or the genetics guy, us. Just us. I can’t even begin to tell you how I am feeling right how.
He did warn that we may not be so lucky next time, but really, I don’t even want to think about that. Today, right now, everything is the way it should be.
Thank you all for your thoughts and for all those crossed fingers out there. You are all so great. :)
I hope you all had safe and happy Halloweens! Until next time…
From Cloud Nine…Nicole
