Hello! This is Nicole reporting to you from the wonderful MATERNITY LEAVE LAND! Yep you heard right! My maternity leave ended up starting a week earlier than planned…but you are not going to hear any complaints from me! It has been wonderful to be able to take naps in the afternoon and spend morning, noon and night with Maxwell. I am not sure who is enjoying it more Maxwell or me!!
Baby News –
So things got a bit worse with my handy dandy liver and therefore here I am writing this entry in my jammies! I am now attending ultrasounds every two weeks and am on continuous doses of steroids. But I am happy to report that I have not had to shave my face or change my name yet! LOL! The plan of attack is to do an amnio at 34 weeks. So now I am just holding off until then. I am right at about the 30-week mark so the baby will be here in 4-6 weeks! (Geez it sounds like I ordered it off an infomercial or something!!)
The baby is moving around tons and tons and is FINALLY head down! I don’t think I gained any more weight this week so I have sort of leveled off. I think my total weight gain is about 16 pounds.
I am getting more excited and more nervous! I think it finally hit me today that I will actually be GIVING BIRTH again…not just having a baby! Why is it that we do this more than once? LOL!! I have NOTHING purchased for the baby so I am officially in “Shop ‘til I drop” mode. EVERYONE thinks I am having a girl so I am preparing for another boy! I can’t wait to see if the baby will look like Maxwell! Our names continue to change on a daily basis. I think we are back where we started…but from here it is hard to tell!
Maxie –
Maxwell is wonderful. He got weighed at the doctor this morning and is a whopping 36 pounds! He is getting TOO big! He now knows all of the capitals of South America, (just because his mom teaches him crazy songs) his ABC’s and how to count to 11. Why 11 you may ask? I have no idea! On a little bit different note…I think we are going to have to sign him up for Popsicles Anonymous. This kid is addicted to Popsicles! ARG!
Well honestly I have nothing new to report! My next ultrasound is June 2nd. I will keep you all posted!
