Boy these weekly entries are getting tough. I mean do any of us a really have a life that makes for interesting reading on a weekly basis? Yet here I go again…
Easter –
Easter was wonderful. Maxwell was spoiled rotten by more than one Easter Bunny this year. He got a Hot Wheels Scooter, Playdoh, Memory Game, new sandals and of course TONS OF CANDY! The poor kid has been on a sugar high since Sunday! LOL! We spent the weekend at my Grandmothers farm and it was wonderful. The Easter Bunny hid over 140 plastic eggs with candy in them and the kids had a great time searching for them. I tried so hard to keep Maxwell inside until all of the other grandchildren arrived but I just couldn’t do it. He instantly spotted a bright purple egg and ran over to it. Once he realized that the Easter Bunny had “dropped” them all over the yard I was in trouble. FINALLY the other kids arrived and they were off! Maxwell laughed and ran all over the farm in search of more un-needed candy! It was too cute.
My Birthday –
I was WAY too spoiled on my birthday this year. First of all (and without question the best gift of all) Maxwell remembered my birthday all by himself. I was trying to wake him up in the morning and he kept telling me NO! So finally I told him that it was TIME NOW! He said “Ok Mom. Happy Birthday Mommy.” I am not sure if it was pregnancy hormones or just getting caught in the moment but the tears started flowing and I ran into his bedroom and wrapped my arms tightly around my special guy! Mike bought me a beautiful, new camera that I can proudly say I annoyed everyone with on the weekend! “Smile” was the word of the weekend! LOL! I also got new Capri’s, t-shirts and a pair of Birkenstocks from my mom. Mike’s mom bought me all of the fabric that I wanted for the baby’s room. So all in all turning 24 meant being spoiled, spoiled, spoiled!
The Room –
Well I have begun on the baby’s room. Well not really the room as much as the items that go into the room. I have started painting the dressers and the crib as well as the rocking chair white. My idea for the room came from the front cover of the Ethan Allen catalog. I was lucky to find almost identical fabrics to make the bedding with so hopefully it turns out cute. I will post some pictures when I get a little more finished.
My Appointment –
I am very anxious for my appointment next Wednesday. The steroids did not help at all with the itching and I am not sure that there are any other options. It is getting worse daily and I am progressively turning into a grouch. It is hard to be happy and upbeat when you feel like crap. I have a feeling that he may tell me that my working days are over, but I guess I will just have to wait and see. I will update again after my appointment.
Funny Stuff –
As always Maxwell has kept us very entertained over the past couple of weeks…
*I have heard stories of children becoming fascinated with their “parts” but haven’t been able to relate…until now. While Maxwell was going potty the other morning I started putting on my make up. He called my name and asked me if I wanted to look at his willy. I told him no. He then said, “My willy is big mom.” Fabulous Maxwell. “But Daddy’s is REALLY big!” Mike is beaming from the other room! LOL! I just sort of nodded and tried to keep from busting out laughing. Then he tells me that I don’t have a willy. He said, “Boys have willies and girls have hair!” OMG! I almost died!
*He has also begun flashing people. Yes my son will fully expose himself for a laugh. Mike was laying on the couch watching TV and Max walked up, pulled down the front of his pants, told Daddy to look and then ran away laughing. I have raised a sicko.
*We are making a video to send to my sister in Australia. All weekend we filmed our family doing various things. I got Max on tape singing his ABC’s but as soon as he finished he started picking his nose. I kept taping and asked what he was digging for. Without missing a beat he quickly replied “Gold” and kept on digging. I had to shut the camera off I was laughing so hard.
This is a very boring and uneventful entry…Welcome to the Days of My Life! I hope that you all have a wonderful week.
Itchy
