Nicole's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
January 30, 2003
I found out some horrible news today. Some of our friends had their 2 year old little girl stolen from them while they were shopping. I don’t know all of the details yet, but I have been feeling terrible today. Isn’t that every parents worst nightmare? I am not sure how people ever recover from something like this. I wanted to write this entry to remind all of us how lucky we are to get to spend everyday with our wonderful children. I heard this song on the radio this morning for probably the 100th time. But today it took on a whole new meaning that I hope to remember every day for the rest of my life…
Sometimes late at night.
I lie awake and watch her sleeping.
She is lost in peaceful dreams so I turn out the light and lay there in the dark.
And then the thought crosses my mind.
What if I didn’t wake in the morning?
Would she ever doubt, the way I feel about her in my heart?
If tomorrow never comes.
Would she know how much I loved her?
Did I try in every way, to show her everyday
That she is my only one?
And if my time on earth were through
And she must face this world without me.
Is the love I gave her in the past,
going to be enough to last?
If tomorrow never comes...
Love Nicole
