Lauren's Diary Entries

May 16, 2004

First off, I forgot to say in my introduction that my husband and I live and hour apart right now. He is working in Killeen and I am liveing in Georgetown. He stays with his sister and comes home on his day's off, Sunday and Wednesday. I came out here last night to see him rather than him comeing home because he was tired and Annabelle wanted to stay with my grandma. I called this morning to check on them and Annabelle answered the phone. A sweet little vioce, hello. I say hi Annabelle and she asks where i'm at, I tell her and then the millions of questions, where did you sleep, where did dad sleep, where did Serena sleep. Annabelle talks so much, it is crazy. I have never heard a kid that talked so much. She is forever asking questions and just talks constantly no joke. We do work books and stuff with her and she loves them. We call them her lessons. Her heart surgery is comeing up and she is very worried about it. Not so much the surgery but she thinks she is going to die because she just recently started asking questions about death, why do people die and when do they and now she thinks when you have surgery you die. It is so sad. I have told her time and time again that she won't but she is worried that she will. No four year old should have to be worried about that. So we decided that we are going to have a party for her the weekend before her surgery because she wants one anyway. She loves to have parties and have her friends over and stuff. My sister had a baby on April 28th. It is her third child now. She was induced 3 weeks early. She had a girl, her name is Charlotte Genevieve and she weighed in at 6lbs. 5oz. and was 18 1/2 inches long. A cute little baby. Also my nephew Santo was with me it was a little over a month ago, he is two by the way and he fell off the couch and broke his arm. Talk about guilt. I felt so terrible for that. He got his cast off on Monday though and is doing great now. Serena is doing ok, besides another double ear infection and bacterial skin infection. They gave her some really good antibiotics though and it is clearing up already. She is to funny, talks a lot but I do have to say, she is the perfect kid. She listens, doesn't cry often and is calm and sweet. It's funny how differnt two kids can be. The doctor did say on the bad side that her reflux is getting worse so we are going to have to figure out how to help that, she has tried many different medicines for it and none of them work for very long. I am over at my moms, watching my little sister, she turns two in July. Her name is Bella and her and Serena just love each other so much. It is so sweet to watch them play. Anyway, I am rambleing, I better go. Hope everyone is doing wonderful and love to all of you....
