Lara's Diary Entries

October 14, 2002

Once again I find the need to take a little break from the computer. When I’m crunched for time, it’s the first thing to go. I just get into a rut where I find myself on the computer every free minute I have and then everything else suffers.

My house is officially a wreck! We had our big yard sale last weekend and I think every room in my house needs to be cleaned and organized. And, I hate to just drop off the face of the earth for 2 wks without anyone knowing what’s going on, so I decided to get on here post that I will be off the boards for a few weeks (unless if I can get my act together sooner).

I will say that the kids are doing great! And I’ll give a quick update on them….

Macy seems to have grown up (even more than she already had) overnight! The other day we were sitting at a traffic light and Macy screams out “yellow means speed up!” We started laughing and asked her where she heard that she said her Auntie Paige told her that – too funny! She just loves to sing (all the time) and is currently into anything to do with dresses and princesses. She is always making up stories about being a princess and having her prince come rescue her. I have no idea where she gets all this from. She has seen Beauty and the Beast several times, but that’s really it. We are not really into the whole Disney movie seen and she just hasn’t been exposed to it. I guess they pick it up rather you want them to or not.

We all got our hair cut last Saturday. I cut my hair really short! I’m actually growing it out, so she didn’t cut the top, just everything under my chin line. I got about 10 compliments on it at church yesterday, so it must look good :o) I also had Kim (my hairdresser), to just Macy hair pretty short. It had gotten down below her shoulders, but it was so straggly looking. So, now it’s in a cute bob right below her chin. It looks so much better!!

Erin is doing great! She will soon be crawling all over the place. She has gotten up on all fours, but soon falls down to her stomach. But, she can flat army crawl anywhere she needs to go and she’s pretty fast. That’s another reason why I have to get this house cleaned and organized, it’s going to be hard enough keeping up with when she does start crawling, I don’t need to worry about her getting into something she’s not suppose to because it’s been sitting on the floor for 2 wks!

Her top 2 teeth have come in, making a grand total of 6 teeth! She also said Dada for the first time yesterday. My DH got to here it and he just loved it!!! She said it off and on all day. It was really cute and just reminded me how much she’s growing up too.

One a sad note… my SIL (whom I’m very close to) lost one of her best friends this past week. Her name is Marcie and she was in my SIL’s wedding just this past March. They were roommates for several years and just really good friends. Well, Marcie had been married for about 2.5 yrs. She had a miscarriage a few months ago. After that the Dr’s discovered she had huge tumors in her uterus. She had to have a total hysterectomy at the age of 29. As if that was devastating enough, she had the surgery last Wednesday and on Thursday she was fine and recovering from the surgery, well sometime during the day they think a blood clot when through her lungs and killed her instantly. The funeral was yesterday. My SIL is doing well (better than I thought she would), but she is of course very upset. Just the entire thing breaks my heart. I really didn’t know her all that well, but it is still such a sad thing. She was an only child and I’m just can’t imagine what her parents must be going through. She will be greatly missed by so many people.

Well, on that note, I’m going to run. Just know that I will be gone for a few weeks but I will be back with an update as soon as I can.

Take care,
Lara, Macy & Erin
