Pumpkin Patch, Family Time, Play Pals, and New Pictures of Nathan and Mommy!

Pumpkin Patch

This past weekend Kevin and I took Nathan to his first pumpkin patch and apple orchard. We were so excited to have some good old family time with Nathan. We were equally excited to see his reaction of being there for the first time. Unfortunately, though after almost an hour drive to get there Nathan ended up being pretty fussy while we were there. Poor little guy can’t seem to stop getting nose colds. He gets better and then a few days later he has a new one. I am beginning to think it’s his play pals group that he goes to weekly that is the cold culprit. Poor Nathan could have had so much fun there. They had a barn full of animals, great fair food, great kiddy rides, and a tractor pull ride to and from the actual pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful fall day but Nathan didn’t have the energy to enjoy it. When we went into the barn to see the animals a rooster happened to cock-a-doodle-doo and it totally scared Nathan, we had to leave the barn very quickly. That was disappointing because normally Nathan loves seeing all kinds of animals. Nathan and daddy did the tractor pull ride and Nathan some what enjoyed that. He cried while he had to wait for the ride to fill up with people and as soon as it got going he seemed to enjoy it some. We tried getting some cute pics of Nathan at the pumpkin patch; you can check them out on our family website. It was kinda hard to do though since the poor kid wasn’t having much fun!

Family Time

We are going to see Kevin’s family for several days. We are looking forward to it very much since its been several months since we saw them last. We are just hoping Nathan sleeps well while we are out of town and we hope he doesn’t mind the long car ride too much! I hope to post a new entry all about our trip once we return.

It’s Halloween Time at Play Pals

It was Halloween dress up day today at Nathan’s weekly play pals group. It was sooooo cute to see all the toddlers dressed up! Nathan was Bob the Builder although he wouldn’t leave his hat on :) He looked pretty cute, I have to say :) There was one toddler in a Raggedy Andy costume, too cute!! You should have seen his huge red hair! There was a devil, chicken, cowboy, and several others. I tried getting come cute pics but Nathan didn’t want anything to do with picture time :) Nathan is either really independent or I have a rebel in the making! In the beginning and end of Play Pals they have circle time and all the toddlers with their parents are supposed to sit down and listen to the kiddy songs and do all the hand gestures. My Nathan never wants to have anything to do with that, he would rather go play with all the cool toys. He is pretty much the only toddler who never ever wants to do circle time. We try of course but he always runs away. There is only one other toddler who sometimes does the same thing. I wonder if this is a precursor of what it will be like when he is in preschool, I hope not. It is so crazy and sometimes I am embarrassed by it but the instructor assures me that it’s pretty normal for some toddlers to do what Nathan does. We have posted some pics of the Halloween day on Nathan’s website if you wanna check them out!

I have been so bad about getting pictures taken of me during this pregnancy. I pretty much don’t have the slightest amount of confidence when it comes to my appearance. I know pregnant woman are beautiful, I just personally don’t feel that way. I know how important it is to take at least a few pics as keepsakes, so if you are daring and want to, check out my preggo shots on our website as well!

Take care and keep the posts coming! I love to hear from people on my TTM board! I would love to hear from fellow diary writers and non diary writers! What are your kiddos being for Halloween?

Have a great weekend everyone! Baby Dust to those TTC and Belly Rubs to those who are pregnant, including myself :) Also I am sending out some good old labor vibes to Raelyn of Moms Today, let’s hope Abriella comes soon! I can’t wait till it’s my turn!

God Bless~
Kelly, Nathan, and Austin :)
