September 10, 2002
Oh my -- so many things going on in my head today. With the anniversary of September 11th only hours away, I had to stop watching the programs on television, as I was getting too depressed and sad. And I am going to work tomorrow with a little paranoia, as I work on the 44th floor of the tallest building in town. Although, in the afternoon, I have a court hearing, so I will be out of the office. This time last year I was on maternity leave, and watching it all unfold on t.v. I just pray that tomorrow goes by without any more loss or any incidents.
On a somewhat lighter note, tonight was a complete disaster! After dinner I went outside with the kids, and when I wasn't looking my daughter put a weed in her mouth (I was weeding the garden) and then proceeded to throw up! Soon to be followed by my not-quite-potty-trained son pooping in his pants. UGH! Needless to say, if I didn't have to be in court tomorrow, I would be having a glass (or more!) of wine tonight. But, then I go and look at them when they are sleeping -- such angels! You can quickly forget all the other stuff that happens.
Well, that's enough for now. I hope that you all make it through this difficult week without too much sadness. Take care of yourselves and hug your kids...
Kathy
