4 Days shy of 19 Months…

Where to start… Let’s go with AF, a lovely topic of discussion. Mine has shown up for the 2nd time in 18 months since having Michael. It’s not pretty either. I’m tired, cranky and going through more tampons and pads then I have ever done in the past. Now this is probably TMI, but when you go through 3 pairs of pants in one day and that’s with changing tampons every hour it’s out of control!!!! I hope it ends soon.

Haircut…

I forgot to mention in my last entry that I got my haircut again, this time its right at my shoulder, or right above. It’s the shortest I have had it since 7th grade. I do love the fact that it’s easy to care for, however I don’t like that I can’t get it up in a ponytail. Not sure if I am going to stay this short or let it grow back out for winter. We shall see :)

Labor Day Weekend

What a cold and rainy weekend! On Saturday, the only nice day of the weekend we didn’t do much of anything, Ken and my FIL went fishing that night and actually caught some stuff to boot! They enjoyed themselves. Sunday we went with my parents to the county fair in Elkhorn, WI. Michael had a blast. He enjoyed riding in his stroller and all the noises and people. We took him to the sheriff’s display and got him fingerprinted, for which he screamed bloody murder. We then let him pet the goats at the petting zoo. He got to play in a big pile of corn that they had set up for kids. We went to all the different barns where he saw, baby chickens, ducks, turkeys, bunnies, goats, lambs, cows, pigs, and of course horses. We bought some tickets for the kid’s rides and Michael went on the carousal. He HATED it! He screamed when I tried to put him on the horse, so we ended up riding in the booth portion. He wanted off this thing. We then took him on the gunny sacks. He LOVED this to pieces. He does love slides! I took him on it 2 or 3 times and Ken took him on it 2 times as well! Ken tried to take him on another ride, it’s a big bear that you sit in and you can spin your bear around, Michael had a meltdown about this. Poor Ken, Michael wouldn’t even go to him after he took him on that ride! Monday we did some shopping in the morning, and Ken worked on work at home as he is really busy right now. I did a ton of laundry, fun fun fun!

Anniversary

Our 4th wedding anniversary is coming up on the 13th. Ken’s sister is babysitting Michael and we are going out for a nice dinner. I think I am going to get him this fish finder thing that he wants. Should be pretty easy!

What’s a Ball-ball???

Well in our house a ball-ball is any kind of round fruit that Michael wants to eat, it’s also a regular ball, or anything that is circular. Michael’s new found love is grapes. Yes I cut them up before I give them to him as I am petrified that he will choke, but he has managed to grab some out of the fridge and pop them in his mouth before I have been able to grab him to stop. He would eat fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, and grapes) 24 hours a day 7 days a week if we let him. He just doesn’t seem to get enough. It’s the first thing he asks for in the morning and what he asks for as soon as dinner is done. I guess I can’t complain because he does eat healthy :), but for the life of me I can’t figure out where he picked up that habit! Ken won’t touch a vegetable unless its corn and I really don’t count that as a veggie!

Recipes

I made a soup in my crock-pot the other day that turned out AWESOME! It’s kinda like minestrone with some meat and noodles. Even both the boys loved it! It will defiantly be on the table this winter and it was super easy!

Paint

Menards had paint on sale last week so we ended up buying 18 gallons of the stuff to paint most of our new construction from white to colors! We choose lots of caramel colors and some blues and reds. I don’t know when we will have a chance to paint all of this but hopefully soon!

My Mom…

My Mom is coming in for a visit from Florida on the 19th! I’m sure Michael will enjoy seeing her again. I will have to get out some pictures of her from the last time and start showing them to him so he will recognize her!

That’s all for this week!
