Jennifer's Diary EntriesDiary Navigation: |
December 18, 2003
OK, I know I said I wasn't going to post again until I had a birth announcement, but today is my little girl's 2nd birthday, and I wanted to write a little something to commemerate it. After all, this diary was started because of her, and so I want to dedicate this entry to her on her special day.
To my precious little angel,
I just can't believe you are 2 years old today. All the cliches you hear about time flying doesn't even begin to cover it. I have had the immense pleasure of watching you grow from a helpless newborn into my "big girl". You are so smart and friendly. Your personality is warm and wonderful. You are so caring and affectionate. You have a smile that lights up your whole face, and that of everyone around you. I love you in ways and with a depth I never knew possible. All I want to do is take care of you- to make sure you are always happy and that you never have to feel one moment of pain. I know that is impossible, but it won't keep me from trying my best. At times when I'm at my lowest, it's you that keeps me going. When nothing else is right, and all feels lost, I can hold you tight and that gives me what I need to get by.
Your father and I truly feel that we are the most blessed parents of this earth, because God chose to give you to us. We cherish every day we spend with you. You are the most valuable thing in our life. I can hardly believe we are about to welcome your brother into the world, but even as we do, we want you to know that you are always special to us in a way that no one else can be. We will always love you fiercly and do everything we can to make your life as wonderful as possible, because that is what you have done for us. Thank you for who you are, and I pray that God will always keep you in the palm of His hand. Stay close to Him always and He will guide you. "He will never leave you, nor forsake you." He's the only one who loves you even more than we do, which is pretty amazing.
Happy Birthday, Sarah. I love you with all my heart! May God bless you always, my sweet little angel.
Love Always & Forever,
Mommy
