Jennifer's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

September 27, 2003

OK, so it's been about a month since I've posted. Yikes! Deep breath. I CAN catch up. Here goes...

I believe the last time I wrote we were all sick. Well, we are all better now, thank God. Thanks to all of you who posted your well-wishes. =) Things have been really bust since then, hence the lack of entries, but let's see...

Ah yes! My daughter, the Dairy Queen. Does anyone else have a kid that LOVES milk? We go through so much milk in this house, I'm thinking we should just buy a cow and get it over with! Seriously, though, the reason I bring this up is because I am concerned she is drinking too much. She seems to have loose stools a lot, and I think it is caused by the massive amounts of milk. Does anyone know how much is an appropriate amount for a kid her age to be drinking? (She is 21 months). I would certainly appreciate an answer if anyone knows. TIA!

Moving on- Sarah has recently discovered that she can run. This is a source of great pleasure for her (and anyone observing her), as she zooms around the house saying, "runnin, runnin, runnin!" (Well, it's a lot cuter in her little voice! LOL.) She is so full of life and energy- she brings us such joy! =) She is also the sweetest little girl ever. She is so loving and caring. She already loves her baby brother, hugging and kissing my belly. Sometimes she even shares her toys or her snacks with the baby (my belly-LOL). I really do believe my love for her grows every day.

On the flip side of this zest and affection, is a toddler will that won't quit! She knows what she wants, and darn if she isn't gonna get it! I find myself locked in a battle of wills with her quite often. It's very hard at this stage, because you really can't reason with them. They don't understand. They just want what they want-period. AHHHHH!!! LOL.

I am 29 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Woo-hoo! Almost there. Some days it feels like it's too soon. Other days, not soon enough! My body says, "Hurry up and get this baby out!" But my brain says, "Yeah, but then you'll have TWO little ones to care for!" Then I proceed to go into panic mode. LOL.

I am nervous about how I will handle the both of them. Any advice from moms of close-spaced kids? PLEASE POST IT TO ME! I need all the help I can get!

Had an appt. with my midwife a few days ago. Everything is looking good. Passed the glucose test, so YAY! Think I've gained about 20+ pounds by now. Next appt.- Oct. 8. It's every two weeks now...

Well, I gotta run. It's late and my daughter doesn't let me sleep in! LOL. Besides, we have to get up early for church anyway. Hope everyone is doing well! See you on my board (with advice, I hope!)

Bye!

Jennifer
