I'm sure most of you know we are getting ready to be hit again by a nasty hurricane. We are prepared, but I'm still in shock that we are going to go through this again, just 3 weeks after Charley! I think going through that has made everyone take this one much more seriously. It is complete chaos around here! Wal-Mart, Home Depot, gas stations, etc, are totally insane. I went to fill up on TUESDAY, and I STILL had to wait about 20 minutes to even get on a pump!!
Anyway, we are staying at our church/school's gym, which is an awesome shelter, rated for winds up to 300mph! My husband is acting as the emergency shelter manager, so I know we'll be safe. ;) Also, after learning the hard way last time, I have booked us into a hotel for a few days following the hurricane, in the anticipation of being w/o power for a while.
They say that this one is WAY worse than Charley, so any prayers would be greatly appreciated. Aside from physical safety, please pray for our kids, and specifically Sarah. She is still not 100% back to normal from the last one, and I am worried about how this will affect her. TIA!
Thanks for your concern, and I will post again ASAP after it's all over.
TTYL,
Jennifer
