Yikes! How did a month pass since the last entry?? I am so sorry, ya'll! LOL.
We have had a lot going on here since the last entry. We all got sick a few times with various things, stomach and cold viruses, and it was not fun. But thankfully, it seems to have pretty much all cleared up now.
We had a good Easter. The production at our church went really well, and the kids got baskets from our friends, neighbors, my parents...they scored big! LOL. Of course, we ate most of the candy, but they also got some toys and things. Sarah also got to do a few egg hunts, which she also loved.
JOSH-
He is such a sweet baby, although I must admit he is a more difficult baby than his sister was. Lately he has been crying a lot, and driving me crazy. I think he may be teething, but I'm not sure. When you mention a baby crying, most people don't think twice about it, but they really don't know how it is. Think about it, the last time you heard a baby scream without ceasing for 10 minutes or more...it's enough to drive you nuts!! I feel like a bad person sometimes because I just want to scream. I guess I need a release for this pressure, and I've told my husband and he's been really great about working with me to give me some time for myself. He is a really great guy. =)
More good stuff about Josh-
He is such a chunky monkey! He is only 4.5 months old and he weighs 18 pounds!! He doesn't LOOK too enormous, though, so I don't know where he keeps it all! LOL. He can roll over both ways and he babbles a lot. It is so cute! His favorite word is "Blah, blah, blah!" No joke- that's what he says! LOL. He gives the biggest smiles and even laughs sometimes. I am so in love with my baby boy!
SARAH-
She is, well, a toddler… with everything that entails. Hilarious and precocious one minute, rebellious and defiant the next. I tell you, parenthood is the most confusing, dramatic, draining, exhilarating, exhausting, unbelievable adventure ever!! (Is that enough adjectives for you? Whew!)
The Potty:
This is a source of great frustration for us right now, and here's why:
She knows how to do it, she is fully capable of telling us BEFORE she needs to go, etc. But lately, if she is busy with something else, she will just go in her pull-up. It makes me crazy, and I don't know how to get her to go to the potty consistently. I tried "potty treats" (M&M's)- 2 for pee, and 4 for poop. That worked for a while, but it seems to have lost its interest for her. She has been going on the potty for almost 6 months now. I know she's capable, so I'd really like to get her to a place of consistency with this. Any suggestions?
Last but not least, we had a nice Mother's Day. Moe surprised me with a trip to Disney World! We stayed at the All-Star Music Resort on Friday night, and went to Disney on Saturday. We didn’t get to DO very much (YOU try Disney with a toddler and infant! LOL.), but it was still fun. Sarah got to meet Mickey Mouse- she even sat on his lap and kissed him on the nose. It was so sweet! She also met Buzz Lightyear, of whom she is a big fan. We took lots of great pictures. I will be posting them on my TTM board if you want to see.
Well, I guess that’s all for now. Yay, we’re all caught up. Whew! I feel better! =)
Until Next Time,
Jennifer
