Jennifer's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 17, 2003

OK, I know I owe you an entry, but here;s the thing:

I can't think of what to say! I have writer's block or something!

Ever since we got here to Florida, I have been on the computer two, maybe three times. This is a MIRACLE for a Internet junkie like me!! I don't think you understand the severity of this, so allow me to explain. I used to be connected to the 'Net for hours at a time. I would check e-mail and message boards at approximately half-hour intervals. I managed to respond to posts within minutes of their being posted. It was sad, really.

Perhaps I've said too much... Do you all think I'm a pathetic loser now? Ah, well. I guess I was. But you have to understand that I was cooped up in a basement all day with an active toddler and no means of escape. (DH had the only car.) Cyberspace was my escape. That's where all my friends were. That's where I had conversations about the things that mattered to me. The place where I exchanged ideas, had friendly debates, sought advice and support...and found it. I guess I can honestly say that without my computer, I would have been a hermit- cut off from the world. This wonderful invention- the Internet -and this community, were my saving grace. There. When I say it that way, it doesn't sound so pathetic. LOL.

Anyway, as I was saying, since I've been here, it just seems I don't have as much time for the computer anymore. Believe me, I am the most surprised of anyone! I thought for sure I would be jonesing like a caffeine addict without her morning java! But no, I find that I would rather go out. Drive my car. (I know that may sound trivial to some of you, but try going a year without driving and then tell me how you feel!) See my friends. Go shopping with my mom... It just feels good to be part of society again!

Speaking of going out, tomorrow Sarah & I are going with my mom and my sister to David's Bridal to look at wedding dresses. (By the way, her fiance's name is David. Isn't that funny??) I am so excited! =) We have to look for her, but also for me. (I'm the M of H.) Whatever dress she decides on, I just hope she doesn't pick one that's going to break the bank! Oh yeah, and it would be nice to have a dress I could actually wear again in the future! LOL. When she was my maid-of-honor, I just told her what color I wanted her in, and let her pick her own dress. That way, she bought a beautiful dress that she was able to use more than once. (She later wore it to her prom.) Maybe she'll repay the favor for me... =)

Sarah is doing okay, for the most part. She is taking her time, adjusting to things here. I am trying to make it as easy as possible, sticking to her routines and what not. She has been more "Mommy-oriented" since we've been here, if that's possible. (She is already quite a momma's girl!) And oh yeah- she cut her top left tooth yesterday. (That makes three! LOL.) She asks to nurse more often, but I don't mind. It comforts her, and I believe it makes the transition easier. I think it will be even better once Moe gets here. She misses her daddy. And so do I! ;) He will be here on the 25th.

Well, I know you were wanting to hear about the beach and the parks, but honestly...we haven't gone yet! Ahhhh! We've just been SO busy visiting with family and friends, and trying to adjust. Hopefully, next time I will have some fun stuff to write about.

I hope you had a great weekend. Please, stop by my board and say hi. I always love to hear from you!

TTFN! (Ta-ta for now!) "Tigger" =)

Jennifer

P.S. Guess I got over m writer's block, huh? LMBO!
