Sarah-27 months
Josh- almost 3 months

DISCLAIMER: I have a terrible cold, a hacking cough, and I am very tired, so please forgive me in advance if this entry doesn't make much sense.

OK, onto the kiddies!

SARAH:

Except for her cold, Sarah is doing very well. She is loving school and is learning a ton every day. She even laid down on her mat and fallen asleep by herself a couple of times last week! (A BIG deal for her!! At home we still have to lay down with her.)

Perhaps the most exciting thing is that is doing EXTREMELY well with potty training! They work with her at school, and we switched her to pull-ups. She tells us often that she has to go, sometimes she goes and sometimes she doesn't. But I can't remember the lat time I changed a poopy. The only time she poops in her pull-up is if she has a loose BM, and then I think it's more of a surprise kind of thing. It comes too quick to stop it, but even then, she just goes the first little bit, and then she comes and tells us, and does the rest on the potty! We are so proud of our big girl!

She is also having a really great time with her little brother. She is so sweet to him, and it just warms my heart to see them together. She loves to touch him, hold him, hug him and kiss him. She will take his hand and say, "Touch me!" and then when he does, she says, "He's touchin' me!" It is so cute! She also says she has to "teach him" how to play with his toys. She will take his hand and make him reach the toys that hang over his play mat. I have to remind her to be gentle so she doesn't stretch his arm too far! LOL.

JOSHUA:

What can I say about my little man? I never knew I would love having a boy this much. Now I am starting to say why they say Momma's Boy & Daddy's Little Girl. Even though Sarah is very attached to me and is sort of a Momma's Girl, I guess. There is just something about my little boy...it's a different bond. I can't explain it. I love both my kids equally, but in different ways. When he smiles at me, he just melts my heart. His smile looks exactly like mine when I was a baby. That's pretty cool to see.

He is cooing so much and interacting with us-it's great! I put him in the saucer for the first time today, and he loved it. I took a ton of pictures! =D

He sleeps wonderfully overnight-usually from 8:30/9:00pm-7:30am. WOW! I change him and feed him right before I go to bed, around 12:00, but he just falls right back to sleep. I love it!

Naps are another story, but I'll discuss that next time...

TTM ?'s:

I just have a few questions for you all-

1) How bad do you think it would be for Josh to sleep on his tummy? I know all about the SIDS thing, but he just sleeps so much better on his tummy. Advice, please.

2) Josh is about to be 3 months old. Do you think it is too soon to start rice cereal? I tried a little the other day and he really seemed to like it. Whenever we are eating, if he is on one of our laps, he stares at our food the whole time! I nurse him whenever he wants; anytime he is cranky, it's the first thing I try. Since he goes pretty much all night with no feedings, I wonder if it would be okay to do maybe one small feeding a day of cereal. Please weigh in on this matter. How old were your children when you started cereal? How did it go? Is there anything I should know before I decide whether to go ahead with it?

TIA!

I hope everyone is doing well, and I'll see you on my board! =D
