Jennifer's Diary Entries

January 12, 2004

Hi everyone!

I'm ba-aack! LOL.

Whew! I can't believe how time is flying! Joshua will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. We are doing really great. He eats well and he has been sleeping through the night since he was born. He had a check-up on Friday, and he was up to 9lbs. 4oz! (He was 8lbs. at birth.) We feel so incredibly blessed. He is such a good baby! He is starting to stay awake for longer periods of time, and it is so fun to bond with him. He is really strong, holding his head up for at least 10 seconds or so. I just love looking in his eyes. He has such amazing eyes- they look like there's so much wisdom behind them. I don't know how to explain it. He's just a really cool little baby. =D

Sarah is doing well as far as Josh goes. She loves him to pieces! She is always hugging and kissing him, "petting" him, talking and singing to him, and helping me with diaper changes. She also loves to talk about him to other people. She is such a good big sister.

Also, in a surprising turn of events, Sarah has given up nursing. In fact, she has only nursed twice since he's been born. It's like she just decided that she was done with it and now it belongs to Josh. The first time she saw me nursing him, she kind of freaked out, but after that one time, she was fine. When he cries, she says, "Baby's hungry! Feed the baby , mommy!" Isn't she sweet?

The only area she is having trouble with is that she misses her time with me. It has been affecting her sleep, so we are working on ways for me to be able to spend more one-on-one time with her.

I wanted to include more things in this entry, but I am out of time. I have to go pick up Sarah from preschool. Hope everyone is well. Stop by the board and say hi! =)

TTYL,

Jennifer
