Emily, 2 years, 5 months

http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/j/jensem/

Just wanted to make a quick entry since it's been a while since I last posted. Let me start this by saying that Jeremy is a life saver. I have been having the worst stiff neck today and the pain has steadily increased to the feeling of a knife being stuck into my neck. It's 11 p.m. and he just offered to go to the drugstore and pick me up a heat patch. What would I do without him.

This leads me to one of the downfalls of TTC. I can't just take medication to treat my aches and pains. I'm especially being careful because I'm on cycle day 31 (of normally a 34 day cycle) and I could possibly be pregnant. I bought a bulk supply of HPT's and have been using 2-3 a day for the past week. Today I noticed the faintest of lines to indicate that I could be pregnant. It's so light I'm not sure if it is an evaporation line or not. We shall see...

This weekend has been so incredibly hot. Jeremy took Friday off and that morning we took Emily to the park in the morning to feed the ducks before it got too hot. Emily loved it. There was a playground nearby and we took Emily over to see what she would be interested in playing with. Emily still is scared of playground equipment but she made us so proud that morning. She went down a slide 2 times and let us swing her on the swing for about 5 minutes. She looked so proud of herself :)

Yesterday we ran a few errands as a family and spent the evening making pizza together and enjoying each other's company. Today we did absolutely nothing. I was so tired and worn down all day today and my neck has been hurting so bad. It was very hot and windy today so we just cranked up the AC and spent a lot of time together. By evening Emily was a ball of energy and getting into all sorts of trouble. Jeremy and I agreed to get up early tomorrow and make plans to take Emily somewhere to blow off some energy.

We don't have any plans to get together with family as we found out this weekend that my SIL's father has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. This is quite a shock for everybody to deal with.

Emily is finally making progress with her potty training. After over 2 months of only pooping in the bathtub she has finally started to do #2 on her potty every evening before her bath. I'm so proud of her!! Now we just need to work on getting used to doing #1 too.

I'd love to write more but I'm still waiting for my heat patch and I'm in a lot of pain. I hope to write a lot more later this week.

Jennifer
