Emily 2 years, 2 months

What a crummy start to my week. Jeremy leaving on a business trip and Emily having her first night waking in months.

Our bad week actually started out this weekend. Jeremy was working nonstop on a project that was being implemented this week. We didn't do a single fun family thing. I also was feeling queasy throughout the weekend. I got my hopes up and decided to buy a pregnancy test. Of course it was negative.

Yesterday was spent with Jeremy finishing his work and us doing laundry together. We were bad together and ate ice cream and watched a movie before bed. The last thing I should be eating right now is ice cream. I've completely derailed my good eating habits and haven't worked out in 2 weeks. So now I'm alone in an apartment with a freezer full of ice cream and no willpower whatsoever. sigh.

I have no idea what caused Emily's night waking but it was really weird. Around 1 a.m. she was screaming bloody murder I went to get her and she was very animated and talkative. I took her into the livingroom and tried to hold her but she wanted to run all over the place while crying. When she found Jeremy's bag all loaded and ready to go she kept pointing to it and sobbing, "Daddy's Bag!! Daddy's Bag!!" I put on a Baby Einstein video and tried to get her to calm down. As soon as she heard the familiar music she started to laugh through tears and sat down to watch.

After the video I put Emily back to bed. About 2 hours later at 3:30 she was back up again screaming loud enough to wake the whole apartment complex. I got her out of her crib once again and took her into the livingroom. This time she wasn't crying but was even more animated than before. She ran around the room and pointed at all her toys and told me what they were in such a loud voice. Jeremy decided to get up and get ready since he had an early morning flight. The oddest part of the morning was when he got all his things together and was leaving Emily gave him a wave and said, "Bye bye Daddy". Like it was no big deal at all. Usually she hates when Jeremy leaves for work. Maybe she sensed he was going to be leaving so she kept waking up trying to catch him. Who knows?

I finally got Emily back in bed around 5:30 a.m. Then my cats were acting stupid and whining about who knows what. Needless to say I've been tired all day today.

I hate Jeremy being out of town. It just feels so lonely without him. We are always joking and laughing about something together. Not having him around makes me blue. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
