Emily 2 years, 2 months

Today Jeremy surprised me his version of making breakfast. He took Emily to go pick up some McDonald's while I was in the shower. Emily is not a big breakfast eater. Usually she'll eat a cup of cheerios dry or a nutrigrain bar. Occasionally she'll eat a few bites of scrambled eggs and half a slice of toast. Today was the exception to the rule. Jeremy bought her a "Big Breakfast" and Emily ate 2 pancakes, a sausage patty, 2 scrambled eggs and half a hash brown. I couldn't believe it. I told Jeremy not to play too hard with her afterwards because I was afraid she would lose her breakfast. Two hours later she was asking for a snack. While I'm happy that my child has a healthy appetite today it usually means one thing....she's growing. Of course I'm happy that Emily is healthy and thriving but she is just growing way too fast. I mentioned in a previous post that she is already 37". I thought that meant that we would have a break for a while.

After breakfast and relaxing an hour or so I took Emily with me to do some grocery shopping. She LOVES the grocery store. I guess Emily takes after me because I love shopping for groceries also. I used to go with my dad all the time. He did all the grocery shopping because my mother didn't like to. While we were in the produce section Emily reminded me that she wanted broccoli and she scolded me for not putting a twist tie on the garlic. It's hard shopping with your boss.

The rest of the day was spent cleaning the apartment and playing with Emily.

Tonight I was really proud of my cooking. For Mother's Day Jeremy got me a cookbook that I had wanted, Cooking with Faith by Faith Ford. I decided to make Oven Fried Chicken, sour cream mashed potatoes and green beans. It was one of the best meals I have ever cooked. I had miscalculated how long it would take to make dinner so I had served Emily her dinner and given her a bath earlier. True to her appetite today she wanted a second dinner with Jeremy and me. Oh well, at least I know it was a good meal.

Even though I'm supposedly not focusing on TTC I have to mention that today is CD 15 and chances are I'm ovulating or close too it. I'm still saying a little prayer every night to God. Thy will be done. I want another babe so badly. Please hear my prayer.

Love,

Jennifer
