Emily: 2 years 2 months
A funny story...
Emily is convinced that I'm the lead singer from the band Evanescence, Amy Lee. Jeremy was watching videos a few weeks ago and one of their videos came on. The minute Emily saw Amy Lee she started shouting, "Momma Momma!!!" Jeremy kept telling her, "She kind of looks like momma but it's not baby girl." Of course I'm really flattered because I think that Amy Lee is a really pretty girl. I also think she is WAY prettier than I ever could be.
A couple of weeks later we're in the car and the same song comes on and Emily starts shouting, "Momma ting (sing), Momma ting!!!". Once again we're trying to explain to Emily that it's not me on the radio. Then, yesterday while I was at work, Jeremy was watching the movie Daredevil and Emily started shouting for me again. Jeremy told me that he thought that Emily was being silly because I don't look anything like Jennifer Garner (says who???? :P ) but then he walked into the room and the Evanescence song was playing in the background.
Boy is Emily going to be disspointed later when she finally understands that her momma ain't no rock star!!! :P
Morning visit with Grandparents.
My parents are on vacation right now and preparing for a weekend trip to Pennsylvannia. My mom mentioned that she needed to pick up some things at Walmart. I told her to come out my way and we can all go shopping together.
Emily was so excited to see Grandma and Papap out of the blue. We all went to Walmart and shopped for over an hour. I swear keeping track of my parents is worse than keeping track of a toddler. If one was with us, the other went down another aisle, and vice versa. The whole time Emily was calling out...."Paaaaap Paaaaap/Maaaaawgaaaa (grandma) where are YOU????"
Since Emily is out of her braces all her shoes are too big now. I found 2 different pairs of sneakers that are really cute. I think they are actually boys shoes but they were the simplest ones I could find. They had a bunch of the bulkier running type shoes but Emily has a hard time wearing those just yet.
Emily is now down for her nap. Who knows what the rest of the day will bring?
Love,
Jennifer
