It's coming to an end! Our time away from Mark is finally coming to a close and before we know it, he'll be here. Last week I took the kids to Buffalo and we found a house for us to live in. It's a cute yellow, 3 bedroom house with a huge backyard for the kids to run and play in. I talked it over with Autumn and she said that she would share her room with Matthew since Gabe shared his room with him while we lived in Texas. :0) Gabriel and Christian will share the other room together. The third bedroom is next to the kitchen and that will be mine and Mark's. Although I wonder if having my room so close to the fridge is a good idea?! ;0)
We are all so excited that we will be living in a house instead of an apartment. We've had to take our clothes to the laundry mat for years now, but that is all over. Mark went to buy a washer and dryer today! :0) Next Saturday we are going to our new home to paint the walls and have the carpets cleaned, as well as scrubbing everything down. I want it all spic and span before we move our things in. Mark will be here a week from Tuesday!!!! :0)
Thursday and Friday I took Autumn and Gabriel to get their school shoes, clothes, backpacks and lunch kits. All I have to buy now is the supplies and they will be set. I registered them on the day we went to Buffalo to find a house. Their school starts on the 20th but they will have to start a week late since Mark wont be here until then. They are are both so excited to have all of their new things and they are ready for second grade. :0)
A year or so ago, one of my top back teeth cracked. A piece of it broke off and I figured that since it wasen't painful, why bother with it. Then this past week it started hurting and the pain never went away. So I decided to see a dentist here in Branson. He took an x-ray and concluded that my tooth is decaying and is infected. He gave me an antibiotic and a pain pill to take until the infection is gone. Those pain pills can sure send my world spinning. They do a good job kicking the pain, but they also make me feel "happy". :0) When I asked the dentist how many to take, he said "well if you take 2 and you're looking for a lava lamp and your 8 track of Jimi Hendrix, you've taken to much"! Haaa....so I took just one.
Remember the smeared banana story from last week? Remember how I said that it made me feel like a little kid again...just knowing that I had to tell my parents what had happened? Well...sigh....I have yet another story. One night last week, I think it was Wednesday night, I decided to paint my toes a deep dark mauve color. I sat in a chair at the dining room table and had my foot propped up in the one in front of me. Christian kept walking by and eyeing the bottle of polish. He wanted to touch it and I kept telling him, no no. Well, after so many no-no's he had had enough. He reached for the bottle and smacked it out of my hand. The bottle fell onto my parents light cream colored carpet and splashed onto my other foot. Instant horror hit my face and I ran for a towel to start scrubbing it up with. I used some nail polish remover and then remembered that hair spray works really good too. I scrubbed it until there was only a faint hint of pink on the carpet and THEN went to get my dad and tell him what had happened. *GULP* He reacted calmly though and just said that he hoped that the carpet cleaner would take it out. They'll REALLY need to use that thing after we leave. ;0)
Last Monday I went to see Freaky Friday again with a girl that I work with. If you get the chance to see this movie...take it. It's hilarious and one that I'll be buying up for sure. :0)
I suppose that's about it for now. I'm in the middle of working the front desk of the hotel. All the rooms are sold out for tonight so we are basicly just answering the phones. This is the weekend where everyone who wants to brings their classic cars and shows them off. They've been driving up and down the main street here and several of them squeal their tires as they go by. My mom said that they do that well into the night. Humm...I hope we all get to sleep. ;0)
Take care~
Jennifer :0)
