Heather, my sister in-law and I celebrated her birthday by spending a night out on the town. We had so much fun eating, talking, shooting pool, dancing and having the time of our lives. It's a night I'll not soon forget, that's for sure. Thanks Heather! ;0)
The next day we decided to take our kids to Silver Dollar City in Branson. We all got a hotel room at my parent's hotel and then we headed to SDC. Mark's back was hurting so he stayed in the room and kept Matthew and Christian with him. The day was perfect! Sunshine and fun! We spent just about 3 hours there because we had to be at our church for practice that night. But we all had a great time and got to ride a few things too. It's exciting for us all to know that we have season passes and will be able to go any time, any day we want this year.
On Sunday we began some special services with a guest speaker from South Africa. We spent Sunday through Wednesday night going to Branson for these services and they were fantastic. Mark and I were asked to lead the praise and worship (song service) on Tuesday night and we enjoyed it so much. Mark and I share the passion of praise and worship and we love being able to do this together.
I've begun helping out at my parents hotel for several days a week now. Since Mark hurt his back he's been missing work several days week so I'm helping to fill in the gaps by working there when he's off.
This weekend we stayed at the hotel again which makes it very nice for me since I'm working there again. I just get ready, walk out the door and I'm at work. ;0) For Easter my whole family went to church and then I cooked a big dinner for everyone at my parent's house including ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, dressing, olives, rolls with butter and strawberry short cake for dessert. Yummy! It was great to all be together on such a wonderful day!
I know that this is a short and scattered entry but I have been really busy and am too exhausted to write out everything in detail. Please forgive me! I just wanted to throw something down before another week slipped by me.
All of the kids are doing great! Christian will be 2 next months and I can hardly believe it. Where did my tiny baby go? He's so independent and such a joy to us. He already shows such love and kindness and when he meets a new person he always greets them with a "Hi!!" He knows and can point to all of his body parts now including his booty which is hilarious to watch.
I have some new pictures that I need to get scanned and then put up on our website. My old one is not active anymore...so I created a new one and as soon as I have it finished I will post the web address.
Have a wonderful week ya'll!
Take care~
