Matthew~

So, I stayed up nearly all day after waking up with Matthew on Monday morning. Since Mark took him to the hospital for the EEG I decided that I'd go back to bed. Christian had other plans for me however and woke just as Mark was about to leave. When Autumn and Gabe woke up I asked them to keep an eye on Christian while I rested in my bed with the door open for a while. They agreed and off I went for some much needed rest. At one point I nodded off and began to dream. In my dream I heard the sound of glass shatter (not good!) and was suddenly woken to Gabriel yelling for me to come and see what Christian had done. I walked into the living room to find my coffee pot in a million pieces all over the carpet. Christian likes to pull down the dishwasher, climb on it and then grab whatever his hands can reach. I blame myself for the mess...I should have rested on the couch but I really wanted some peace and quiet. What was I thinking?! I cleaned up the glass and no one was hurt.
Mark returned with Matthew who was very sleepy. He said that he fell asleep right away and they let Mark hold him while they did the EEG. On Thursday morning I took Matt to see his Neurologist. He told me that the EEG showed no signs of abnormality or seizure activity. We both feel that the Lexapro was causing the seizure-like reaction. After I stopped giving it to Matthew, he stopped flinging his arm back and he didn't clinch his hand anymore either. Matthew is 100% back to normal. His doctor asked me if I wanted to put him on another type of medication since the Lexapro did nothing positive for him. I said that I didn't want him on anything, but that he'd be starting school next week and I was anxious to see how well he'd improve with therapy there. He agreed and then we scheduled our next appointment for 6 months from now.
After his appointment we all went to see Matthew's new school and meet his teachers. I was very happy to see where he'd be and what he'd be doing. We got to meet all of the students in his class and the aids as well. Everyone was really nice and helpful. We met the physical education teacher and Matthew tried out the swing. Christian was entertained with all of the balls and mats. Autumn and Gabriel found some Speed Stacks on one of the tables and started stacking them. Within minutes they had a group of teachers and students gathered around them cheering them on. No one there really knew how the SS were suppose to be done, so when Autumn and Gabe showed them, they were very impressed. It was cute!
Matthew was going to be starting on Monday the 29th but he needs a physical and wont have it done until the 1st. So his first day will end up being this Friday.

Christian~

My baby boy is slowly but surely starting to talk more. He now says "Luh-lou" for love you which melts my heart each time. He is calling all of us by our name and his newest is "Papa" for my dad. He's been showing an interest in his train set that he got for Christmas. I build him a train track and then he plays with his train on it. He makes a car sound when playing with the train because I'm sure he thinks it a car. ;0)

Work~

At the last moment I made a very important, life changing decision to NOT go to work. I have many reason and although I don't feel comfortable posting them on here at the moment, I feel that you should know that my reasons are all good. It has a lot to do with following and pursuing my heart's passion. I'm sure in the weeks and months to come I'll be able to explain more, but for now that's all I will say.

A date night~

Mark and I made plans to go out on a date on Friday night. We planned on going to see Return of the King since Mark had to leave halfway through when we went the first time. We wanted to go and have dinner first but everything changed once he called and told me that he was still working and wouldn't be home in time to see the movie. My sister in law watched all of my children for us. So once Mark got here and cleaned up, we went out to dinner for Mexican food. We weren't gone for very long but it was nice to have a quiet meal without a hundred interruptions. ;0)

I hope that you all have a wonderful week!
Take care ya'll~
Jennifer :0)
