Christian's cold ended up being only that. His ears, nose and throat all checked out fine and within a few days he was back to normal. A couple of days later I took him back for his check up and he's doing wonderfully and is in perfect health. He's weighing 25 pounds now and eats anything and everything he can get his hands on. He really enjoys fresh fruit which I am thankful for. He's trying harder to say words but still has a pretty limited vocabulary. He will say or try to say nearly everything but most of the time it sounds the same. I'm really not concerned about it because I know that every child develops at their own pace. Plus, he IS trying and he IS improving all the time. So, I feel that there is nothing to worry about. I'm about to start potty training him. He tells me each and every time he does something in his diaper. He calls all of it "pee-pee" but he points to the front or the back of his diaper depending on what he "did". It's too cute! His demeanor is happy for the most part and he loves to kiss and gives hugs. He likes to play with cars and his basketball and hoop set. He enjoys several shows on PBS and his all time favorite movie "Finding Nemo" which he calls for by name. He knows that when I put his socks and shoes on it's time to go "bye-bye" and we can't get to the door fast enough. He LOVES to go! Since we have our mini-van again, his car seat sits up higher and he can really enjoy looking at the world go by. I cannot wait until the weather is warmer so we can take trips to the park. It's hard to believe that he'll be 2 years old in just 3 1/3 months from now. We plan on having a gigantic birthday celebration since we will be around our familes this year. What fun!

Autumn and Gabriel are really enjoying their new school and have settled in really well. On Monday they bring home their homework for the week as well as their spelling words. They have the entire week to study them and then take the test each Friday. Gabe and I came up with the incentive that if they get a 100% or miss only one, they will get a treat. The first week that we started they both brought home a 100% and decided on deserts from McDonalds. The second week they both brought home 100% and they wanted McDonalds again. But last Friday...they got a special treat. They both recieved a 100% on their tests and I told them that dad and I were taking them to see the Springfield Spirit's Hockey Team play a game that night. They were beyond thrilled! My sister in law Heather came over and watch Matthew and Christian for us so we could take Autumn and Gabriel. We got there a little late, but had a great time nontheless. We sat floor level on some bleachers beside the guest team. They were the SnowDogs from Alaska and they ended up winning the game 4 to 0. It was so exciting to see the game that close. Autumn and Gabe stood right next to the glass and loved watching the guys skate by. We saw one player get a front tooth knocked out and then the other team tried to start a fight. Those men are serious about their game! Autumn and Gabe each picked out cotton candy and they ate that while we watched the game. It was SO much fun and we made great memories.

On Saturday my mom celebrated her 51st birthday. We were all suppose to go to Branson and visit with her and my dad for the day. On our way, Matthew started throwing up and we decided to come back home. I called and let my parents know what was going on and that we were sorry that we wouldn't be able to be there. Of coarse they understood...but I still felt bad. I wanted to spend the day with my family. We came back home and Mark took Matthew to Urgent Care across town. The started an IV for dehydration and then drew some blood to run tests. In the end, he came home with a prescription for Cefzil for a double ear infection. He has a typical cough/cold and I will continue to give him his cough medication. The throwing up must have been caused by him coughing so hard and then gaging. He's been eating like normal since last night and he even seems happier now. Poor little guy! It's always sad when Matthew is sick because he can't tell me what hurts or what is wrong. I just hate that and it always makes me feel so bad. I still don't have word on when he will start school. I check with them once a week and they said that they are still awaiting approval for the start board. I don't think it will be much longer now though.

In less than two weeks I'll be taking my trip to Texas. I am starting to get excited and I know that I'll have such a great time there. Next weekend I'm planning to shop for new clothes and all the things I'll need to take with me. Much fun! :0)

Have a wonderful week and take care~
