Just a quick update-
Joshie is fully potty trained now. We got him a soft little potty seat to attach to the toilet so whenever he has to go he whips off his undies in the living room and runs into the bathroom. If he needs to be wiped he calls for me, otherwise he pretty much does it all himself. His favorite thing right now is to say "Mama", then I'll say "What?" and he yells "Chickenbutt!". He's so funny, and is thankfully getting out of his crabby stage. Joey is the same as ever, my little smarty pants. I've been volunteering at his school every Friday since pre-school and it's so cute when all his little friends run up to me and say "There's Joey's mom!" and he just loves it. He is such a sweet kid, still wants to hold my hand and let me kiss him in front of his friends. I'm so hoping that will last for a little while longer.
Ozzy was bit by something a couple days ago, and was real sick. I was so worried, but he seems to be pulling through it. He is drinking and eating normally, but still is having trouble with walking and with his balance, so I have to help him some, but I don't mind, of course. I'm just so glad he is ok.
I'm currently in the 2ww, and I want to be pregnant very badly. But I have been taking some pain medications and antibiotics and I'm not sure if it would affect a baby, so as much as I want this, I'm thinking it would not be so bad if it wasn't my time. After all, I already have two perfect children and a long time to have another one, so I shouldn't be in any rush. There are so many women out there that I want to be pg before me..(you know who I'm talking about!).
Anyway, the weather is getting better here, a little rainy some days and windy most others, so it's tolerable. This was the mildest summer in Tucson since I've been here and I'm grateful for that, I hate the heat. I think it has to do with me being born in Buffalo, NY, I have the urges for snow and cold all the time. I love to wear heavy sweaters, drink hot cocoa, and sit in front of a fire. Well, I have a fireplace, which is useless in Tucson and haven't worn heavy sweaters in years. Ok, Mother Nature, BRING ON AUTUMN!!! It's my favorite season, and I just can't wait.
Next month I'm taking childbirth education classes. Ok, let me explain. No, I'm not pg. I have to take these classes as a non-expectant parent; it is a pre-requisite for my doula training. I never took them even when I was pregnant, so it should be interesting. I'm so excited that it is all getting underway now, being a doula is something I've wanted for a long time now. My ultimate goal is to become a midwife, after using two very different ones for the births of my sons, I've discovered that that is what my true calling is. I love everything about pregnancy, birth and babies. Becoming a doula is a stepping stone in that direction and I can't wait.
Well, till next time and hopefully something more exciting....Jenjen
