Jennifer's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

September 3, 2003

Well, things have been better these past couple of days, so this will be an entry of just random stuff.

TUCSON

Well, I've been here for 10 years. 10 LONG years, and well, I'm sick of it. The heat, the humidity, the situation with the city finances, it's just all going downhill. And the job situation is horrible. Jon has been from job to job due to all the lay-offs, and the one he has now is just not cutting it. The bills are piling up and I will probably have to get a job. Only if I did my salary would probably just cover child care. It seems that we can never get ahead anymore. He is applying for a new job with an airline, so we're hoping that'll be a step forward for us. And if not, then we'll be saving and saving to get out of here and start somewhere new. Besides my family, which I will miss dearly, there is nothing holding us here. We'd love to move to Oregon or Washington. Maybe even Virginia. We'll see.

JOEY

Joey will be 7 in February, and I still cannot accept that my baby, my little boy is getting so old. Even when he lost his first tooth a few days ago, it didn't even cross my mind that this is the time when it is supposed to happen. I was freaking out, thinking that we'd have to rush to the dentist and hope they could reattach it. LOL. But no, my baby is just growing up. And fast too. We have to get him new shoes all the time and new clothes too. I thought boys were supposed to be less expensive?? HA. Not to mention the ton of underwear they go through, boys need all sorts of stuff. Thankfully, I'll have all Joey's old stuff to pass on to Joshie.

JOSH

Ok, I admit it, he has never had a professional haircut. Almost 3 years old and I've been trimming his hair since he was 5 months old. And he really needs to go, he's got so much hair, has since he first was hatched (the way we say born in my family, long story), probably got it from Jon's side of the family. My hair grows SOOOO slow. He's doing real well in the potty department, now he only has accidents once or twice a day, usually because I forget to ask him if he has to go. He only wears diapers at night now, and on long trips away from the house.

OZ

Just a quick note, my gorgeous doggy will be getting neutered, a bit late I know, but better than never. I'm so nervous. He's only 7 months old, but he had puppy mange when he was 4-5 months old and we had to put it off till it cleared up. I'm a big supporter of spaying/neutering and animal adoption, and of all animal rights. Ozzy is just like one of my children.

TTC

Ok, quick question. According to my charts, I'll be O'ing on Sept. 6. We're going to BD from the 2nd to the 8th, just in case. Jon and I get into little spats frequently, and I was wondering if anyone else just let the argument go so they could BD? I mean, even if I know I'm right, is it right for me to act like everything is peachy just to have the chance of conceiving? I don't know, just seems wrong or something to me.

BOOKS, MOVIES & T.V.

Ok, I LOVE to read. Started when I was 4 and haven't stopped since. I have to read something, anything every day. I feel off if I don't have a book in front of me. I'll read almost anything, but horror is my favorite. Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Bentley Little..all my favorites. Anyone know of some new authors or books for me to read? Seems like I can't find anything new anymore. Obviously, since I love horror books, it would be clear that I LOVE horror movies too. Can't wait to see "Jeepers Creepers 2", but will wait for "Freddy vs. Jason" to come out on video. Just seems like those story lines are all played out. If anyone has seen it and liked it, let me know. Now, as for T.V., I always watch "General Hospital", have watched it for about 12 years. The current story line is boring me though, how long are they going to drag on this Emily/Zander/Nikolas thing? And don't get me started on the Sonny/Carly/Alcazar thing. The only thing I love to watch is Ric. DROOL. Anyway, I also watch "Road Rules", all the reality Animal Planet shows and the Lifetime movies. I had to get digital cable to get Soapnet and LMN, lol.

Ok, for all those who hacked their way through this jungle of an entry, THANKS. My mind works in weird ways, I just type whatever happens to be thought of at the moment. And I noticed I use capitals way too much! Oh well-hopefully everything is spelled correctly at least!
