Joshie's Birthday
Yay, he's 3! Hard to believe, but it's true. On his birthday, we took him to Joe's Crab Shack, his favorite place, mainly because of all the sea life on the walls and the crazy wait staff. Plus he got a free meal because he's in the birthday club, so that was a bonus :). We got him a Scooby-Doo playhouse, a basketball hoop, some fingerpaints and a tricycle. So far, his favorite is the paints, and the front of our refrigerator is covered with all his new masterpieces. I made him a Blue's Clues cake, which was just a big pawprint covered with blue frosting. We didn't have a chance to eat any on his birthday, so we were saving it for the next day. Well, he woke up early, VERY quietly snuck into the kitchen, opened the frig, and proceeded to eat most of the frosting off of the cake! It was so cute when I caught him that I couldn't punish him, besides, it was his cake, so it was alright.
Joey
Ok, so last year we found out that Joey needs glasses, which is no surprise since my eyesight is so bad that my optometrist said that he's only seen 1 person with worse sight. Within the first 3 weeks of having his new glasses he needed new frames. Within the next month, he needed another pair due to him breaking the frames again. Well a full 9 months goes by and he needs new ones again. So we go to this place that has an advertised special ($49.99 for 2 pairs of glasses w/ plastic frames & lenses). It was such a rip off, they only give you 1 pair of frames to choose. And they were so ugly, huge brown ones that look like they're from the '70's. So I had to fight with the manager to get him some decent frames, which we did get in the end. So now he has 2 pair, thank God, and I'm hoping they'll last him for awhile.
Family..who needs em?
I swear sometimes I just want to divorce my family. It's getting to the point where I just want to move to another state and not tell anyone. My sister Jessica is going to California for vacation at the end of February. Yay for her, only she asks my other sister Michelle to go with her. Never once did she ask me. She always takes Michelle out shopping, and she and my mom are so close. She would only call me if everyone else died and she needed a ride somewhere. I feel so left out but if anyone needs me I'm right there to do all I can. My mom only comes over if she needs to borrow my computer or if she needs help with her schoolwork. I haven't been to her house in 2 years. She's always taking Jessica and Michelle places and never invites me. She practically ignores Josh and spoils Joey. It makes me so mad. Okay, enough complaining. Argh.
SCHOOL FOR ME!
Yay, I'm going to go back to school at the end of March. It's to get my certification in Medical Assisting. I love everything about medicine and I'm one of the only people I know that likes going to the doctor and loves the whole hospital atmosphere. I really hope to become a midwife, but that'll be after the kids are a lot older. For now this will help us out monetarily and will make me feel so much better about myself. I've been so depressed, feeling cooped up at home and the only people I am around are Joey, Josh and Jon. I love my children, more than anyone can imagine, I just need something for me, something that makes me happy and more productive.
Alrighty, till next time, and hopefully something that is interesting....Jenjen
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARITY!!!!!!!!! LOVE YA HUN!!!!!!
