Please Help!!!! Your Input Is Desperately Needed!
Hannah (20 months) is terribly jealous of me spending time with Camryn (11 weeks). Regardless of the amount of time Hannah and I spend together, as soon as I have to look after Camryn, Hannah explodes into a temper tantrum. DH, grandparents, aunts--everyone helps to try and divert Hannah's attention, but to no avail. I am beginning to lose my mind. Hannah has always been a mommy's girl! I have tried to invite Hannah to read books with Camryn and I, or play on the floor with Camryn and I but she will have no part of it. She loves her baby sister and is very affectionate towards Camryn when Camryn does not have my undivided attention, but as soon as I am holding Camryn, Hannah loses it! It is absolutely heart breaking!
Question: What do you do when your child throws a temper tantrum? I have heard to ignore it, but that doesn't work in a public place?
Question: How do you combat jealousy where both babies win?
Since I have entered the terrible two's 4 months early, does that mean I get to take 4 months off the end? :-)
