Jamie's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

October 22, 2002

Camryn went to the doctor yesterday to have her first round of vaccinations. Her growth was in the 90th percentile. Our little angel is growing like a weed.

Last weekish Camryn started cooing and smiling. I had forgotten how rewarding it is to get that first gummy smile. Every morning she is just so happy to see us and showers us with smiles and stories about her sweet dreams. Having an infant is so wonderful!

We brought Hannah to the fair this past weeked, and she really enjoyed the different sites. We thought it was terribly odd that when we brought Hannah to see the ponies, she was terrified. She would not touch or pet the ponies, and went crazy when we tried to put her on one of these pint sized creatures. However, down the midway there was the Busch Clydesdales exhibit. These magnificent animals are absolutely huge. (These are the horses that pull the beer wagon.) Hannah could not get enough of the animals. We were amazed, why would a horse with clearly more power than a riding lawn mower be less fearsome than a pony with ribbons in its mane? I thought perhaps that Hannah had become more comfortable with the new place and maybe she was just experiencing some sensory overload when we met the ponies, so once again we tried, and poor little Hannah started getting upset, so we dropped the issue. For the most part she really enjoyed the fair. She is going to be like her momma and love the food. Throughout the fair, Hannah would beckon "Bite Da-da, Bite Mammy." Hannah's favorite--momma's turkey leg and Uncle Kirk's Coke.

I am still working on Camryn's birth story, but hope to have that completed next week!

Blessings to all,
Jamie
