Camryn Grace, Pretty Face
Camryn is somewhat of an observer. She watches very intently as you speak, and she is curious to see what is happening in a different room, especially if she can hear her sister banging around. She is a very loving baby. We call her a hip baby because she loves to sit on your hip, and go with you every step. Her Day Care teacher commends that she is the best baby in her class and has an extremely loving nature.

She is now 5 months old, and at her last appointment (4 months), she weighed 17 pounds and was growing nicely.

We are fighting a bit of eczema on her head, but other than that, Camryn is doing great.

Rolie Polie Olie and Lazy Bones
Camryn will rollover, if she absolutely has to, but would really rather lie on her tummy and fuss until someone flips her. She can lift her head, and hold herself up on her arms, but my little lazy bug just would prefer to have mommy flip her. I really think Camryn will be sitting up in our near future. She is very curious, and just can’t see everything she would like to by laying on her back.

We are trying to get Camryn to start reaching for us. She really makes us work for her, but she will eventually lift her arms to us. This sweet little girl will lean in and shower us with wet open-mouthed drool kisses. Another funny thing. . .Camryn loves to gnaw on my chin, I don’t know why my face is so appealing or if this is her way of loving on her mommy, but she loves to just suck and gum my face and chin.

Hannah Banana
This weekend one of Gary’s friends is getting married, and we are to bring the kiddos. Problem: Any time when we are in church and everyone gets quiet, Hannah feels like she has a captive audience and that her job is to entertain the masses. At the reception Hannah will steal the show. As Gloria Estefan carols in my mind, the rhythm will get her, and she will steal the show. Hannah will dance as long as we will let her and then sleep ever so soundly in HER BED! (Our fingers are crossed on the sleeping issue)

Bath Time Mischief
Hannah has quite an imagination. Each night while she is in the bathtub, she plays and manages to completely soak the entire bathroom. When you ask her who put al the water on the floor, she so innocently replies, “Paw-Paw and Pee-Paw.” Although her grandfathers usually are her partners in crime, at bath time they are not even at our home. Miss Hannah has developed her little fib, and I truly feel like she believes it wholeheartedly.

Struck by Cupid’s Arrow
I think she is in love. . .with her soon-to-be Uncle “Kirkey Turkey.” Aunt Kristy became engaged at Christmas, and Hannah is in love. She affectionately calls him Kirkey Turkey, and gets so excited when she sees him each afternoon. I hope Kirk doesn’t mind this term of endearment, but the happy couple has now been dubbed “Ca-Ca and Kirkey Turkey.” I think the wedding invitation will print nicely.

Hannah meets Anna (pronounced like sauna)—thanks Jessica ;-)
Anna is Aunt Julie’s horse. I have mentioned before that Hannah is not real fond of our four-legged friends, but being a devout animal lover, I am compelled to try again. It was a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, and we all went out to the barn where Julie boards Anna. Hannah was not very impressed with the Anna out of her stall, but Hannah really enjoyed going down the alley of the barn tickling the noses that peered out at her. My faith is restored, she will love animals all in good time. Currently, Hannah prefers to play with Vincent, Aunt Julie’s Great Dane.

Our Turn with the Stomach virus
Last week Hannah had a stomach virus for 6 days. I have never seen so much vomit and poop in all my life. The virus has made its presence known and we have taken a turn with it except for the baby. I am so surprised, and extremely thankful, that she has not gotten it.
