Warning!!!! What you are about to read may or may not upset you. I have strong political views on certain subjects and I DO share them in this entry!
Major Frustrations
Work has been a source of extreme stress for me in the last few months. I hate to admit it, but I have to. I have almost considered what it would take for me to go back to staying at home again, but that REALLY is not possible at this time. We would have to sell the house, sell a car, find a new place to live, etc. It would just be too difficult. Also, I have come to the conclusion that the frustrations I am dealing with at work are difficulties that would arise with ANY job: A controlling boss. I decided that I can’t run away from my problems, but I can deal with them, learn from them, and move on.
It is obvious that for me to quit work would be devastating to the family itself. This is not an option. What IS any option right now, is to consider school sooner than I had hoped. * Yay! * Andrew and I both agreed that it is a good idea for me to go back to school, as time allows, so that I can get my degree in nursing. I just can’t wait!
Boys vs. Girls
Ok, I don’t know how many out there that have boys have noticed that boys like to experiment when they go pee. So far, I have found pee EVERYWHERE in my bathroom, as horribly gross as this is!!! It almost seems to me that they are actually AIMING to hit the ceiling, but I have no concrete evidence thus far. Should I make THEM start cleaning the bathroom?? Because this is really grossing me out.
Is War Inevitable?
This really seems to be the case. Troops are moving out quicker than lightening, and there is much talk about the draft being implemented again to ensure proper coverage for homeland security. It’s actually caused quite a stir here in Missouri lately, which has surprised me. Mostly, the mentality, up until now has been that of an ostrich with its head in the sand. I have seen a HUGE change in the direction that topics have turned at work lately. It’s very strange. On that note, while on my way to the bank this weekend, I passed a Peace Protest, which angered me slightly. It’s not that I don’t believe in freedom of speech. However, I DO believe that when our military is sent to DEFEND our country, doing a job that NO ONE really wants to do and risking their very lives, that those of us who don’t have the courage or ability to be doing their job, should be supportive of them. They are fighting for US!!! I don’t think that I could ever in my life, after living where I have lived and seeing what I have seen, protest a just war with a purpose. This is just my personal belief, but I do know that a lot of people in this area were upset by the peace protest. It’s just not in the right context, and seeing signs that say “Who Would Jesus Bomb?” is certainly NOT in the proper place for what is going on with our country right now. Does no ONE remember 9/11??? The reason I agree with Bush’s decision at this moment is because I believe, wholeheartedly, that Iraq has MAJOR ties with terror cells all over the world, including funding. I honestly don’t think that the US should just lay down and let the rest of the world run over her just so that she has a reason to attack or defend herself. We have already been attacked and thousands of people have died and NOW we are defending.
Ok, I’m off my political soapbox and you can all fry me now. :)
Until next time,
Heather
