Corinn's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

September 13, 2003

I am back and all moved in my new place! I am really suprised at how well the actual move went. Last Thursday the movers came and packed up our stuff and Friday morning they picked up and drove it over to the new place and unloaded it. They were required to unpack boxes if I needed them to, so I made the mistake of asking them to unpack the kitchen. Bad idea, never ask a bunch of guys to unpack anything! They literally threw everything on the counters and shelves and left.. I almost cried thinking it would take hours to arganize it but fortunately it only took about an hour and a half.
Hubby left for a two week training session on Tuesday, but not before he had the honor of coming to my rescue when Avery locked us out of our car. Ugh imagine being stuck at a house that is completly empty and your two month old's diaper bag is in the car and your only source of communication and ID is locked up right along with it.
Luckily a neighbor happened to be home, and I spent two hours praying that Hayden wouldn't get hungry since all his bottles and formula was in the diaper bag.
I had a long talk with Avery many moons after I had calmed about how he is not allowed to even look at mommy's keys and how dangerous it is to get in the car unless mommy is in it. The next day he decided to suprise me with bathing our dog in the bathtub and proceeding to get poor Odie's fur caked with Irish Spring.. at least he smelled good. Boy, when they say three is harder than two they weren't lying! You gotta love the kid for trying, of course I have to be the worlds most uptight mom so I am trying to be more laid back and not yell so much.
I had a job interview, crazy as I am on the day were were moving. Of course I had less than 24hrs notice and all my worldly possestions were packed up. Off to Walmart I went at 12am thinking I would grab a pair of cheap black slacks and some makeup. Word to the wise, never and I repeat NEVER ever try to shop while sleep deprived, especially when you are two months post partum and your body lookes like it has been massacresd. My quick trip to Walmart turned out to be over two hours of sever frustration and all out anger at Sam Walton for having such a crummy selection of pants and at myself for being so lazy and not even trying to lose this extra baby weight.
Anyhow, I made it to the interview to find that I was to be interrogated by 3 people, ugh I hate interviews like that.
I feel I could have done a lot better and I have no idea if I got the job or not. I really stumbled when they asked me what my weaknesses were.. I mean who wants to go into detail about such personal business, esp when my weaknesses lie in such personal aspects of my life. Like, I am really going to go into detail about how I need to work on my paitience level with my 3yr old or how I need to get off my duff and start exersizing, nope. So, I paused and told them it would have to be that i haven't worked in a dental clinic before but that I learn quickly so I didn't forsee a problem.
Ugh, did I say how much I hate job interviews?
Well, baby is crying so I will continue part two soon.
Take care,Corinn
P.S. excuse the typos and grammatical errors!
