MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
To quote fellow Moms Today writer, Jessica:
"I'm still alive...I still exist....I'm doing fabulously..."
The holidays, work, my mom, and my family have gotten the better of my time... and I guess that's the way it's supposed to be! I honestly haven't had time to sit down and write. I barely take the time these days to answer emails. I was feeling really guilty about it and then I finally stepped back and gave myself permission to let it all go until after the holidays have passed and my mom has gone home. Since doing that, I feel so much better. These days, I walk right past my computer without giving it a second glance. I think I have finally gone through the withdrawal stage and it feels good! Hahaha!
Anyway... as busy as I am, I did want to take the time to post and wish everyone well this holiday season. I will write again after the first of the year. Until then, life promises to keep me busy... it's Ethan's first Christmas (and his first birthday is coming up), I am still working (though thankfully, not on the holiday itself), my mom is here til Monday, the new year is approaching, and finally... we have our big ultrasound scheduled for the 31st! We are really excited to go and see this little one again.
Thanks to everyone who left messages on my board about whether or not to find out the sex. I think we are pretty sure we are going to leave it as a surprise. Mike is leaving it up to me since this is our last child. I really do think I'd like to be surprised at the end. Anyway... I'll write all about it my next entry... I promise. I also still have my version of the diary writers meeting to write up. Looks like I'll be pretty busy!
Well... I'm off and running... gotta go figure out what is going on with my cinnamon roll dough. I bought fresh yeast and even used a thermometer to be sure I had the liquid ingredients at the right temperature... yet they fail to rise. SIGH. Wonder what I did wrong as I've never had this problem before. Maybe a bad batch of yeast or maybe my house is too cold. I really hope they start rising (they did rise a little bit and then stopped... I just put them in the oven and set it on warm... wish me luck).
Hope everyone is doing well and that this season finds you in good health!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Christina, Ethan (who will be a year old in just 19 days!), and the Jellybean (15 weeks along in the belly!).
