Happy Birthday Noah! This morning at 1:31 am Noah was officially 2 years old. I still remember how the day went. Austin was dropped off with Grandma J at 5 pm on the 20th and we headed to the hospital, I remember having my one ankle that was swollen. Just the one! The dr. on call was awesome, and so funny. It took a few attempts to break my water. But hours later and family in the waiting room, you graced us with your first appearance at 1:31 am. Did you come out quiet as a mouse, nope! You announced your birth with a huge cry. "here I am world and watch out!" You have been a busy little boy from the start. You love playing with Austin, and picking on him too. Every time daddy walks in the door you light up and run to him with open arms, screaming "daddy!" You love playing outside, and want a bike so bad. Your verbal abilities are increasing everyday. We are hoping you will be potty trained real soon. You have such a strong will, and when you want something or to do something you are so determined to do it. Which can be a good thing at times, but then if it is something you are not supposed to do it can be bad. I love that you have a strong will, and a independent way. Dad and I are so proud of you. You suprise us everyday with something new you can do or say. Having you and Austin completes our family. I could never imagine life with our my boys.

The party
~~~~~~~~~~
We will celebrate Noah's birthday this Saturday. Yes, Austin voiced his opinion that he wanted his own party. So this weekend is Noah's. IF, he is not sick. Right now Austin has strep. Get to that in a minute. We are doing the party in a Finding Nemo theme. Noah gets all excited when he sees the party stuff. I am calling this years party the "noisy year" cause so far a friend is getting the Hokie Pokie Elmo, my mom is getting him a noisy lawn mower, the dancing tigger, and my mother in law has gotten him a interactive teddy bear. Oh lord my sanity, what is left, is going to be gone in just a few short days after the party. Hearing "elmo puts his left foot, puts his left foot out, etc!" Yeah, gonna be great! I am kind of excited about this year though. We have friends coming that haven't been involved in one of the kids parties in years, Jen D. and her family.
We sang happy birthday to Noah this morning. What did he do? Screamed and told mom and dad "no! stop it!" Ahh the joys of a 2 year old.
Trip to the ER
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well Sunday grandma brought the boys home in the evening. They all went to the park to play. The kids were swinging on the swings and Austin wanted grandma to do the underdog. So she did, then again and the third time Austin fell off the swing. OUCH! They came home and besides being scratched up he was acting normal as can be. Monday morning he woke up feeling warm, so no school for either of us. I called the dr. cause the fever was not going away. Had a 10:30 appointment. Got to the office, half way across the parking lot and Austin starts stumbling. Can't walk real well. Went in told the nurse we are heading to the ER and tell the doctor. So off to the ER. They gave Austin an IV, ran blood tests, then I called Don, he got my sister to come get Noah. They done a CAT scan, urine tests, cultures. Yeah a throat culture, and Austin hit the nurses hand so hard the tongue depresser went flying out of her hand, across the room. Strong one there, she said. Nothing was wrong as far as the tests, except the throat culture. Strep throat! After hours there, we finally got to leave. Went and got Noah, started heading home, 10 feet from my sisters house the car dies. UGH! So pushed it back to her house, called mom and waited. She followed me home. I didn't want to break down and have to kids in the car, one that is sick. Got home safe. Austin's fever came back. Took a few hours but got it to break. Slept in his room with him to keep a close eye on him. This morning, fever back. Finally got it to break, and getting ready to head to the dr. office. I want to know why this fever keeps returning! Wee are pushing fluids down him like crazy. He can return to school tomorrow, or so they said yesterday. He was contagious for 24 hours. Praying the rest of us don't get it. If so it will be one sick household.

That's all for now...
