Christa's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

September 29, 2003

Well the doctor said it wasn't heart related, with don's illness lately. Sounds wierd, but he went to the family doctor and that man "thinks" it is some kind of inflamation in his ribs and/or chest cavity. So they gave him a prescription for motrin 600 mg. We were both pretty mad that for the money we fork out we get an "I think" out of the doctor. UGH! But we will try it, and if it doesn't get better we will be making a phone call.

BIRTHDAY PARTY PREPARATIONS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In just a few short weeks Noah will be 2. What?!?!! 2! In a blink of an eye he has went from a tiny infant to a full blown, all over the place toddler. My busy little guy. We planned on having his party on the 25th. Then we realized that just 2 short weeks after that we would be turning around and having Austin's birthday party. I don't know about everyone else in the world, but I would not want to go to one party then 2 weeks later attend another one for the same family. So...we are doing a combo party. We asked Austin before deciding, and he was ALL for it. He says it will be cool to have one big party for him and Noah. Cool! So we made out a list, of I hope all the people we can think of. And going to hold it at McDonalds. This is where Austin wants it, and where I think they will all have fun. And the best for my money. So in just about a month we will celebrate Austin's 7th birthday (early) and Noah's 2nd birthday (a little late) with family and friends. It will be a blast. And hey the kids get cheeseburgers, fries, pop, cake, ice cream, favors, and get to play at the playplace. What more could kids ages 1-8 want ;-)
Austin has told us over and over his wish list for his birthday. And Noah just likes toys! Actually we bought Austin a beyblade the other day and Noah wants it all the time. What ever toy Austin has Noah loves. Don said to just buy 2 of what ever we get Austin. Yeah, that is not the best idea. Small pieces that Noah would try to eat. Not a pretty picture, if you imagined that in your head. But the party will go great. And I won't have to clean up a house afterwards. YIPPEE!!!!
Now it will be time to eliminate some toys before new ones arrive. It's a yearly doing around here. Austin has already picked which toys he doesn't want, then we give them away. All still in great condition, just an unwanted toy by my children. Maybe a wanted one for someone else's child. We also talked and are going to take some stuff to Good Will. Austin thinks this is a great idea.
MOM'S SCHOOL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I don't have much more time left before I graduate. Feb. will be it, then I am out in the "real" world. I got through my Caribbean class, now we are learning Sabre. Which is a reservation system. My head was starting to spin some today. But I think I got the hang of it now. And today was just the tip of the iceberg on this class. YIKES! Next week we do a "meet and eat" which is a b-b-q get together to meet the new students a.k.a "newbies". Hey, free food! I'll go! Plus ya get points on the grade for going. Haha!
