Porting in at Coco Cay! This is Royal Caribbean's private island. We actually didn't port right at the island. We all took what is called porters to the island. In other words a ferry boat. When we arrived we saw all the VERY bright colored little huts. Very "Caribbean" feel to it. There was a straw market here, food stands and the top of the cake was lieing on the beach while waiters came around with coca locas. A island drink. You can have it with or without rum. And you keep the bright colored cups. I got two! A purple and a pinkish red one. They are just plastic cups with a lid and straw, good for on the go cups back home. So I got my sunscreen on and vegged out in a beach chair right by the water! Ahhh, the life! Sit back, soak up some sun and be waited on if you wish. YES! A bunch of us went swimming though there was so much more you could do. There was live music, some people were dancing, there was beach volleyball, parasailing, snorkeling, ride seadoos, scuba diving, ride banana boats and the list goes on. I oped to just veg, though next time I want to snorkel! Then it was lunch time. It was unbelievable! Bar-b-que ribs, steak, hamburges, salad bars, fruit bars, desert bars. I was very impressed they had all this on the island. After hours at the island, we headed back to the ship. Time to relax before heading off to dinner. I think dressing up for dinner was one of my favorite things. Heck, I don't get to do it at home. Staying home with the kids just doesn't give a person much opportunity to dress up. Ha! So we dressed up, headed to the dinner I think that night I had lamb. YUM! Then about 7 of us headed to one of the clubs to take part in the scavenger hunt. At first we thought, "man this is going to be stupid!" Two of the teachers played along with us. OH MY GOSH! It was a blast! In this huge room, filled with people we had to find things in the room. First we made up a team, us seven girls, then got a team number. Number 21! Some of the things we had to run down to the head of the game and speaker was 2 womens bras, not on them, 2 mens shirts not on a man, a mans pants not on him, a man wearing a womans shoe, a man wearing a womans bra lipstick and a womans shoe. Can ya tell they were picking on the men? HA! It was a blast! Then some of us headed to the dance room, called On Your Toes, to have a few drinks and then the unbelievable happened! Some of the girls went out on the deck to take pictures and overheard some guys talking about bombing things and such. It was very scary so we went to security and they checked the security videos and by gosh they were talking about planning attacks, they got put in confinment for the rest of the trip, couldn't even go to Key West. Very scary! That night some of us stayed up till 3 am cause we couldn't sleep. But everything turned out ok. Just so scary for that to happen. It happened at 12:30 am on the 11th! NOT COOL!

Key West! After going through imigration, and waiting for everyone on the ship to pass through imigration we finally got to leave the ship and go check out Key West. YES! This was an awesome place, the building were so nice. We had to check out a few places for school. Hemingways house, the lighthouse, auburdom gardens, and the little white house. Then we headed to shop for some shirts, and other gifts. This is where I got Don's shirt and mine. I got Don a shirt for his birthday that says "who are these kids and why are they calling me dad?" I thought it was cute, and well deserved after Don taking care of the boys by himself for a week. Then we went to Margaritaville, which cost 7 of us 58.01 for one drink a piece and an order of fries. SHEESH! They added a $7 gratuity to the bill. YIKES! Then off to Hard Rock Cafe, Fat Tuesdays, then some sightseeing. It did rain on us for about 45 minutes, but that didn't stop us from walking around. We wanted to go down to the pier but there was construction going on and they had moved the sign that says Southern most point. So we gave that up. Though I wanted to go to the pier at sunset, they say it is awesome at sunset, the sunset is awesome and there is lots of activity at the pier at that time of the evening. But we had to be back on the ship at 6 pm. Oh well, maybe next time.

That night we ate dinner, I had shark! Then go to our rooms and pack and have the suitcases in the hall by midnight. The next day we were off the ship in Miami by 8:30 am, ready to head to the airport to fly home. I did some miracle packing to get the gifts I bought in those cases.

Oh the last night on the ship everything from the shops are on clearance. I got my dad his rum there. There were diamond rings, jewelry on clearance. $200 dollar watches on sale for $60!

At the end we did purchase the group picture and a video tape of the cruise. Special memories! I am ready to go back again!
