Sit back, get a drink, this is a long one!

Well Don is doing better. He was sick all weekend with sinuitis and strepe throat. We had to take him to urgent care to be checked out to find that out. Noah had a chest xrays and on 3 meds and breathing treatments. If not better by the end of this week he will go back to the dr. for a shot of allergy medicine. Not fun!

My Labor Day Weekend~

Yeah, nice long weekend to do shopping for my cruise and spend time with a friend, Jen D., so I called her and got a game plan to go shopping. I picked her up, was to be back by 7 so Don and Mark could go set up sound equipment at a church. So we had plenty of time, it was around noon when I picked her up. So we headed to Branson to get her paycheck. It was raining so I was driving a little slower, so we wouldn't wreck. I didn't even realize till we hit Branson that all the people were out on this weekend. Including all the crazy drivers. So we take a back way to the motel and get her check. WOOHOO!!! Now time to hit Springfield and the Labor Day sales! *CHARGE* We thought. Haha! We are talking and laughing at different things. Have a great girl time. Then I felt the car hydroplane! Gotta slow down Jen! Ok, now we are going slower, but at least we will get there in one piece. Then it does it again! What the heck! Then worse, then losing power, then idiot lights come on, CAR DIES! @hit! I say! I did grab the cell phone that morning. Why? I don't know, it didn't have any minutes on it. So I call customer service to add minutes. NOTE: I hate automated systems! And it was voice sensitive! So anytime Jen talked the phone gave an error. AHHH!!!! I hung up a few times cause we got to laughing so dang hard. All the time Jen HAS to pee. HEHE!!!! Can't take her anywhere. LOL! She hikes her little jean dress and tries to pee, no success. I get through to customer service, my phone is cutting out. Oh, we thought we ran out of gas the whole time! The lady couldn't hear me real well, sooo....I say, "can ya here me now?" (Just like the commercial) Well Jen thought I was making a joke, so there goes the laughter again. Finally I get minutes, call my friend to get her to bring me some gas. She is about 30 minutes away. We sat on the side of the road, it is down pouring rain. Jen finally pees in a 44 oz. cup. RELIEF!!!! See, can't take her anywhere. ROFL!!!! Right on the side of the highway. Of course in between laughes I am getting pissed, no one is stopping! 2 hours on the side of the road, my flashers on. No one stops, no cop, nothing! Finally here comes Julie to the rescue! We put gas in and she follows us to the gas station, which is in viewing distance the whole time. I have to keep a foot on the gas and one on the break just so the darn car won't die. Max speed: 10 mph, vibration: off the charts. I put gas in at 1.58 a gallon! still vibrates, now smoking some. What the hell?!! Jen goes in the station to ask if the car can be left till we get to Springfield and get a tow truck. Guy says no problem, but only for 24 hours, and gotta give my name and junk. Cool! No problem. I go in and deal with the lady from Hell! And she has no sense of customer service skills. Good grief! Tells me "that car better be off my lot in 10 hours or it will be towed!" Yeah yeah! I write my name, number, address down. She says, " I need i.d. to prove this is you!" And tries to ask me exactly when the car is going to be towed, that she can't have every person parking thier busted car on her lot. How appauling! She was mean! So I get a little snippy! I go back outside, Jen stands there getting some food, and a couple in front of her goes up to pay for gas with a 100 dollar bill. The lady won't take the money, says she can't break it. No sign on the building stating this either. The guy tells her there is no sign and she replies, "well I was getting ready to make one!!!" Oh my gosh! She needs fired! So Julie takes us to Springfield, and lets me borrow the car. Jen and I get some shopping done, not much but some. I take her home, laughing about the days events. All along I am trying not to cry about my car and all the stress.

Sunday, we need food, in a major way. Everyone we know is working or out of town. So I call a cab to take me to my mother in laws work, she is letting me take the car to go get food. Bless her! My first taxi ride! Can this weekend get worse?!!! I get the car we go get food, food store I go to is closed! Get food for the day and next morning. Father in law says he can borrow the SUV for as long as needed, but it is in Arkansas. So me and the boys go with Julie to a condo in Branson for the night, get up the next morning drive to Arkansas, in the rain. We leave at 10:30 am, I get home at 3:30 pm. The night before I had to run out the door after the kids. UGH!

My wedding band cracked a while back and then when I ran out of the condo to get the kids, the ring catches on the door and it prys it apart. AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Can it get any worse. I have white knuckle syndrome driving home frm AR today. Get home Noah pushes one of my NEW kitchen chairs over and the back busts apart!!!!!!! End of the weekend!

How is that for a whopper of a weekend?!!!! Someday I will look back and laugh. But right now, I want to run my car off a cliff, crawl in a hole and stay there. I am almost to the point of not going on this cruise. Is this not bad or what. The one thing that makes me laugh is thinking of Jen peeing on the side of a major highway. Thanks for all the laughes Jen, we can always have a whopper of a time, everytime!!!! Last time it was a blow out on my Nissan! Oh gotta love life!
