Christa's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

March 4, 2004

What a day. You wake up and think it will be a normal day. Get up, drink the coffee, get the kids up and ready for school, run your errands, etc. Not today. The only reason I am updating again is to make note of what happened today so I can recall it later if I need it.

Got up went down town to take care of some business, dropped Noah off at a sitters while I was out. Then it started, Noah is sick, coughing, runny nose. UGH! Then my school calls and I am to go check into a job tomorrow. BUT...I can't find a sitter for tomorrow. Still trying to get that one figured out. Onwards..I go to Austin's school to sign release form so when we go see Dr. V Tuesday. Well remember last year how we were to keep an eye on him with is "zoning out spells"? Well it is happening again. Today was worse. He was in the lunch room this morning going to get some milk and they said he had a look of not being there (spacing out) and almost like his eye color changed, the lunch lady left to get more milk when she returned Austin shook his head, looked around like "where am I? what am I doing?" then he said "oh yeah milk". The doctore mentioned that if he keeps having these we will have to do testing to see if it is what is called petit mal seizures or more commonly known as Absence seizures. Good lord help me to understand and deal with this. I am at wits end. What is going on with my sweet son?!!! What can I do?

I am going to journal each time he has one of these moments, how long, what he was doing before, and how he was after.

Anyone with information on this. Please, please come to my TTM board.

Christa
