I am still regrouping after returning from our 2 week vacation to New England.6 of those days were spent driving to & from FL.Actually from & to.Anyway. We got sunburned (which is a riot - we never get sunburned at home in FL!),saw lots of sweet relatives we hadnt seen in years,drove to the mountains,ate decadent amounts of homemade icecream (NE is famous for these places in the summertime),ate lobster,enjoyed the New Hampshire and Maine coastlines,stayed in too many hotels,but found a chain we loved - Country Inn & Suites.Beautiful rooms,beautiful facilities,lots of extras,and if we called ahead,they gave us the same rate as one rather yucky place we stayed in while visiting Charles cousin in Maine.I highly recommend them but you have to ASK for their best rate.The way I discovered this was when I was checking in and told them I had AAA and the guy told me very discreetly:Oh,I can beat their rate. So this week I have been working like a mule,doing laundry and unpacking & doing more laundry and airing out our stuffy house and trying to get the house clean because Carrie & Rusty are coming up for the Labor Day weekend! This is big news at our house because Carrie is 24+ weeks pregnant and we have not seen her since she was 13 weeks!!!! Ought to be a law! Her belly may be red from all of the belly rubs and Susannah has already announced that she plans to "kiss Amelia"(via Carries belly of course) and that Amelia will "kiss her back". Last night when I was putting Suebear & Jacob to bed,I asked them what they thought they were going to say when they saw Carries bigger belly for the 1st time.Susannah:Oh my goodness!!!! Jacob:Somebody call Oprah! What a character he is.Well,the trip to NE brought back some memories of my earlier years so just maybe,I will continue my lifes story soon.After this week.And then I start homeschooling Jacob next week so continue to be patient with me ok? Congratulations to all of the new moms here at iparenting.prayers for those TTC or going through hard times.Catherine
