This last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind at my house.Jacob has been finishing up his swimming lessons,last week both Jacob & Susannah AND the 4 yr old I babysit for went to a really nice Vacation Bible school at our old church -Vineyard Christian Fellowship.On Friday night each group performed a song and then they all got together for this really cute grand finale.One of the big hits of the evening by far,was a slideshow of candid shots of all the kids & teachers from the week.My kids loved it and wanted to go back this week.Yesterday was my pregnant daughter Carries scheduled appt. with her midwife.It turns out that there was a woman in transition at the birthcenter when they got there so they were rescheduled for next week but the good news is that they went in for an Ultrasound today and there was one healthy looking,beautiful baby girl!They tell me that they are settled on the name Amelia Elizabeth which I love! I just cant express the feelings I have about this grandchild!Even tho I have given birth myself 5 times,I have never gotten hum drum about the whole process,by any means.Each one has been such an awesome unique experience and now this grandbaby thing is something else altogether.My Susannah is going through some unexpected changes involving this new addition to our family.About a month or so ago she was kind of sad when the topic of Carries baby would come up and she finally told Charles:"I wont be your baby girl anymore". He,of course reassured her that she would ALWAYS hold that place in his heart.Today,after getting the good news from Carrie,Suebear climbed into my lap and just nuzzled into my chest and neck for about 20 minutes.I told her again that she would always be our baby girl and she said "Im not going to be Aunt Susannah,just baby girl.And Susannah." She has been the star of the show for 4 1/2 yrs and I guess she is going to have to get used to sharing her stardom! Hugs to you all.My heart goes out to Courtney at Precon. & my hopes go out to Julia.Catherine
